So I don't know my Ferraris...

But I saw one near Santana Row today, right before it got taunted by a new Aston Martin Vantage.

The ferrari was red, convertible, the number on the rear started with a 43 but I couldn't make out the last number (driving in traffic, hello) but it looked like an older model, even had the flip up lights and looked pretty plain (no big wing or anything).

They ended up tussling on the freeway and I let them pass. Too many slow pokes in crapmobiles and then the whole family was in the back seat, so yeah, nothing doing. Plus I'm not a dude and I appreciate the fact that my total investment in my car is a fraction of theirs.

430 it took over for the 360 modena, its the "budget" ferrari haha.

 

Older than that, almost looked like a supra or something. Very squared off.

 

Ok, I'm dyslexic, it was a 34 not a 43. BIG difference. Here's what I think it was..



And yeah, the Vantage swooped in front of him at a light (on my left), then when the light turned green, he put it in neutral and gunned it, then blasted off and rode my ass onto the freeway.

 

oh yeah, those were fast for the 90s which basically means nothing these days. the only ferrari from that time period that can still hang is the f50. you prob saw a 348


both these cars (vantage and 348) arent really special in any regard. just 911 turbo scaled perf cars. now last time at santana row i saw an xj220....now that was something. last time i saw one was prob 6 years ago in monterey.



its crazy how rare this car is.

Shame about the wheel well lip rust on that one in the pic.

Darkness- the F40 could hang with most of todays stuff.
Had pull-cables for door handles, but....

 

oh yeah, the 40 was totally a race car though. the 50 was more of a car for the street.
