Have not heard from you since your son had his accident.

Hope that the healing is going well.

Sorry been super busy with work and taking care of him. He is doing okay considering. I took him to his first day of camp this morning and sadly it was their swim day so he is going to have to sit out, I go back to get him in about 30 mintues for our first meeting with a truama sepcialist to give us a better idea of how his hand is and how the healing process will work. He is starting to complain that his fingers feel tight and wants to start stretching them.
    Thanks Ron.

At least he is still wanting to do things. Good news Wade.

Thumb area already has a thin layer of new skin the palm area is going to take a bit longer mostly due to how thick the skin is there and that is stays moist there more than the thumb area. It is still real heat sensative like a bad sunburn so the burn cream is really his favorite thing right now and when he get to soak his hand in purified water from the fridge. I started cleaning it with johnson baby soap so it would not sting. Hopefully by first of July he will be able to get back into the pool I found some plastic arm sleeves for the tub that might work for the pool??

    Thanks Everyone.

That's great news Wade. Another month and it'll be like nothing ever happened.

After the burns have healed past the point of infection concerns, keep it nice and wet wth Tri ointment with periodic drying periods and you'll be amazed how much this help keep scaring down.

Wade .. I'm glad to hear your sons getting better, sucks to see them be able to recover so quickly, you'd still be in hospital LOL ..

Keep with that silvadene, it works wonders .. the cooling effect will feel good for him.

Hope he has a speedy recovery!
