There have been few people running their Techco supercharged cars at the drag strip and lots of questions and comments, so I figured I'd make a thread about my experience. Back in March I ran my Challenger R/T with Techco supercharger (standard pulleys), Diablo custom tune, MBRP cat-back, and 85mm throttle body ... all on my stock motor. I ran MT Drag Radial II tires 245mm wide on my stock 18" wheels. RESULTS ... Pass #1 - 11.916 in the 1/4, 7.614 in the 1/8 Pass #2 - 11.982 in the 1/4, 7.629 in the 1/8 On the first pass (left one below) I wasn't WOT as it was my first time making a run with the Techco supercharger. On the second pass (right one below) I became aware I was developing an issue with plugs from cylinder 7 collapsing and so virtually ran on 7 cylinders for the second pass and probably was having the issue even on the first pass. But, regardless of all that, even not being under full power, the times are respectable to say the least IMO. Here are the time slips. For anyone looking to supercharge, Techco is a great option! It made excellent power on the dyno, drag strip and was such a blast to drive!!
Good point! For the exact time of day that I ran, per the time slip ... DA 1028 and corrected time of 11.889 1/4 for anyone wondering.
great job lisa i know yall will get the bugs worked out cant wait to see a wide open pass it should be quick i just dont under stand why so many people make a big deal about d/a
Because sometimes there is a huge discrepancy when comparing different parts of the country.... Most of the time though, I think it's more like DICK SIZE, "every fraction of an inch" counts!!
True on the D/A ... we usually just use it to compare when the weather is different across the country, but I go by whatever my actual time slip says ... that is all that really counts.
i agree with you it is what it is Lisa can you send me a price on the line lock set up need to get one soon definitly going to need it with my set up
