This is so funny not sure what to think. Here is the deal a few weeks ago I hit the local redneck track with some buddies as the evening goes on they will allow passengers to ride as long as they have helmets so for 3 back to back passes I have my buddy Juan who is recording and 2 other guys in the back seat riding along on the 4th and last pass this trailered in (not sure what it is some kind of muscle era car) lines up with me, no biggie figure the guy will leave me sitting and we will catch it all on tape. Well it starts to rain right as were ready to run and the staging lights are being a pain so my buddy Juan rolls the window down to ask whats up and as he puts the window up BAM the tree drops so I'm caught off guard, its raining and I have no idea if this car might come over to my lane I hate and usually never line up against these types. So were moving on down the track, fully loaded, chatting, horribly heat soaked and I let off early towards the end because I'm still worried about this guy in the other lane and the fact the track is now wet. Come to the end of the race he only gets me by a car, car and half at the end timeslip shows him at 12.63, me 12.81. From there I had no idea my buddy Juan goes and tracks this guy down to see if he wants to watch the vid and apparently this guy is totally in denial that an SUV with 3 passengers kept up with him down the track and that he spent all winer on this car, etc, etc, how much was I spraying, blower and so on. Juan gets the feeling the guy is getting all butt hurt and explains to him its a stock engine with just a tune, intake and exhaust and the guy just keep on and on about we must of just been lucky and so on so finally Juan gets enough of this dude and tells him HE was lucky that I had not been sitting for an hour with cool down and no passengers that I would of handed it to him and he LAUGHS right in his face, keep in mind he just tells me about this TODAY and apparently he set up a race with this guy this coming Saturday at the same track-LOL Guess we will see what the new stage 2 valve body, stage colder plugs and tweaked tune will do!!! here is the vid.

yea, first thought was 69, but I really could not see the tails very well.

Your track is sure loose on safety rules...Bristol rules say no passengers here if you run 13.9 or faster......if you open a window they will stop the lights and racing is over when the first drop of rain hits the track......................based on that video you will have no trouble taking that Nova with just you in the vehicle.....some old school guys just will not accept that a modern emission controlled engine will out perform a 60/70s era engine..

Like I said RedNeck track but good folks that run it, this place was hit by a tornado last year and that was opening night of the new setup minus some bleachers. There have been on ocassions a cow from the neighboring pasture to make its way onto the track or a nice big cow patty in the return lane, heck I ran over a big bull frog one night it was messy.

At the last Space City LX race meeting, an SRT8 Jeep was waxin' everybody. That 4 wheel drive traction was unbeatable.

Damn that track looks dark. His car sounded different while staging and doing his John Force burnout than it did running down the track. Make sure he's not baiting you for a money wager in the future.

No telling what might happen that was his first pass in it since it was built so no telling what wrenching or changes were made from that vid, but I've got a few new mods since then as well
