Contrary to your belief...I'm not the instigator most of the time when running people on the street. I'm not always sure they want to go or not, so alot of the time I'm caught off guard.LOL Where we ran, is also a cop infested area...so I was alittle hesitant to run him at all. So bite me doughboy! The 2nd time we ran when I was in 1st gear in autostick I was waiting for him to nail it. He got a very slight jump only this time and I pulled him hard!
LMAO ... doughboy, that's a good one, lol!!!!!! Alright, alright, I'll ease up on ya, sorry, I'm still hurtin a little over selling my car last week, sorry bro :huglove: Hey you need to update your sig here ditchboy ... the villiage idiots have disbanded as have the poho bros (at least around here) and stevo hasn't had to take the long way to work in a loooooooong time, lol! Have you ran the 1/4 yet? Post up some times in your sig, that would be cool!
Hahahaha...Ok. I'll make some changes to my siggy. I haven't raced it yet and have no real plans in doing so. It's soo hard to get the time away to go do something like this and with my mods...it doesn't make sense to me to go and try to launch this thing without DR's. Someday, I'll get upgraded half-shafts and give it a try. For know...I'll stick to beatin' people up on the street with my lead sled!
tend to agree.. old E46s were 333 hp at 3400lbs .. new E90s put out 414 hp and they weigh about 3700 lbs with a 6 speed tranny compared that to the SRT's at +4K lbs with 425 hp and a 5 speed.. if you are straight lining it.. it may come down to the skill of the driver.. in the turns.. the BMW M series will own you even with mods.. unless your are on an oval.. but like some of the BMW "M wanna bees" who like to put the M3 badges on their rides (318/325/328) and try to make everyone believe that they have a M series.. kind of like the SXT guys putting SRT badges on their rides..
^^^ Now thats funny. I actually saw a guy with the SRT8 badges on 2.7L one day and i just drive past him shaking my head.
true, but price. weight, etc. are not the point i was making...... car for car, similar type of mods, the m3 will not be crushed by any srt i can think of. i now feel so validated....... dahahahahahahahaha good points!!! lol
well if we are going this route for $1.2M we can buy the Bugatti Veyron and have it all.. but now we a re going in direction where only he who has the most money wins.. don't get me wrong, value per dollar the SRT is a good purchase... but new M3 goes for $54K while a techno loaded M3 (SMG, carbon fiber, and every available option) is priced at $77K.. (MSRP) now two years later what has better resale?? again another off topic point .. probably won't be the $42 K SRT that has another $10 - $20 K in add on parts and/or mods... you still can get at least $50 K for M3 that was modestly taken care of... and with very low miles.. then again maybe one may find that niche where someone will pay what ever it takes because they want that car.. regardless if it is a good deal.. but no one puts money into cars looking for a serious ROI.. So I love my BMW for twists and turns and some track days... I love my SRT Mag for longer drives, comfort and some track days.. most people expect a BMW to be pretty good.. but few expect a wagon to do as well as it does.. Plus SRT people are more fun to hang out with...
I had BMW's prior to, but it was more of a status thing at that time. I buy cars now that i truely love. I felt that the MSRT8 had a unique look, adequate power and enough room for the wife and kids when needed. I get alot of comments on this car as im sure M3 owners do as well, but its all about the individual and what they really like and if i had no limit on spending when it comes to cars, i would still buy a MSRT8, second only to a ZR1/ZO6.
