I'm buying a cam and I figured while its installed to do an SLP underdrive pulley .. I think I read on lxforums some people voiced concerns about them and I dont know of a lot of people using them .. are they safe, what kinda power gains, will this mod affect more torque then actual HP ..

My car is a DD so I dont want to affect its driveability .. you know, daddy likes cold AC in the summer ..

    Please let me know ..

Also, my performance mods for this summer are cam, tc, underdrive pulley, 125 shot of zex and heads a little later on .. what do you think ..

I think you will be fine. I know if you had a nice supercharger pushing all that air in ot the motor would be a bit better. Call me some time dick a phone works two ways

You should not have any issues, we have sold bunches and installed alot down here in the South Fla heat, and I have yet to hear of an issue regarding A/C or anything else...expect 7-9 Hp with the SLP U/D.

Any effect on electronics/ accessories. Let's say a certain someone has a couple thousand watts in their trunk, would there be any noticeable issues.

This has been one of those wait and see mods for me. If nobody starts losing alternators, batteries, etc....I'll probably get one. Seems like they're not causing any problems that I heard of. For me...I've still got a bad taste in my mouth from having UD pulleys on my 5.0 mustang back in the day. I lost 3 alternators in 1 year!!!

Just so you know, Summit and Trick Flow are both making SFI certified 20% underdrive dampers for the the 5.7/6.1.

A ton of the SLP's out there, havent heard one complaint other than the ocassional install hiccup. It slides right on the stock crank from what Ive read and the only fitment issue has been from its real tight tolerance on the aftermarket cranks.

As far as the effects on the accessories, nadda that Ive heard. Ive had mine on the car for a few months, works great. Of course it aint summer yet so we'll see how that goes.

I ran mine the entire summer last year. Zero issues...I didn't even know that it was there.
