I'm working on researching dampers for my new forged motor and I came across one that I haven't seen mentioned on the forums. Has anyone tried this one? http://store.summitracing.com/partd...t=SUM-C2515&N=700+4294908110+115&autoview=sku Its listed as 20% underdrive too, so not for me but someone else might be able to use it.
Spins your belt and accessories (AC, alternator, power steering) 20% slower reducing parasitic loss on the motor. Basically, it gives you a little more engine power by robbing from all the units driven by pulleys.
An underdrive pulley increases the mechanical advantage, and reduces the rpm of the waterpump/alternator/AC pump. That mechanical advantage is now seen as extra horsepower and torque at the wheels.
