I can NOT believe that Chuck Tator Dodge is on the list.
They're the oldest car dealership in the country, loaded with uber-Viper techs.

 

I was so happy about Mark Dodge closing. Until I noticed it was a Mark Dodge, that wasn't in Woodstock GA...:cry2:

 

Some of these deserve to go others don't. There is a Dodge dealer near me, drove past this morning. They have 4 Challengers and a Charger SRT out front allong with about 20-30 pick-ups. They are gone, on the list. It was started in 1917 and still owned by the same family!

 

One dealership closed down here a few months back... and now another dealer is shutting down /le sigh

 

I know 2 of these dealers on this list...my dealer however is not on here which is good

 

That doesn't mean they won't close the doors. I think the list is a list of dealers that Chrysler is pulling their dealership. The selection was made on their current volume and location supporting a certain size market potential. I guess this would be good news for the remaining dealers in the area and maybe give them a better chance of staying open if they were on the verge of closing.

My dealer is on the list...hate this because they have bent over backwards to take care of me and their service dept is 2nd to none.....there are 2 other dealers within 20 miles of me that are not on the list...but they are on my list..bunch of lying crooks I wouldnt buy a match box car from either one........The local Ford dealer is great...may have to look at a Ford the next time we trade..........but I am keeping the 10..

The local Jeep dealer is also on the list....he got double wammied because he is also a Pontaic dealer...been a bad spring for him..he has been in business for over 60 yrs.....

 

I only have 2 Mopar Dealers as clients, neither is on the list.

 

I saw a few listed in TN...and immediately thought of you. That stinks sounds like he was one of teh good guys too!

 

Yep, Alley's Dodge world...he is appealing the closing but I doubt he will get anywhere...they are a dealer for both Chrysler & Dodge but only sell 10-25 new cars a month...probably 70% of those are trucks.

 

I was hoping they would shut down the Lithia in Santa Fe.

 

we all shouldnt hope that any dealerships close, we all prefer our specific dealers .. but this still means ordinary people like you and i are now unemployed. hopefully a large percentage of those people head to other dealerships but not if sales dont pick up ...

on another note .. a local dealer closed, they had a silver Chally with a 6spd. Owner walked in and closed the doors at noon today .. told everyone they have 20 minutes to vacate .. what happens with the Chally?

 

Depends. If Chrysler pulled their dealership (I don't think that's acutally happened yet) and they're closing because of that then they're probably going to sell all the cars to a wholesaler and they're probably going to try to sell their parts inventory to dealers still open. Apparently Chrysler isn't buying back any inventory or stock.

If they're closing because they went under then the bank probably owns the Chally now.

I don't know any of the dealerships in our area. But my local one is the worst of the worst, bunch of fucking thieves. It wouldn't have bothered me in the least to see them fold.

 

Don't see mine, which reminds me, gotta call about getting my vent replaced.

 

My local one is on the list. Talked with them today and the shop will still be open. They won't be able to handle warranty work.

Now I am going to have to drive 22 miles to get warranty work done.

 

This is what will burn the automakers.
