Drove my Jeep 922 round trip miles, (this is my daily driver) to see Bob Crespo at SVS to finally get one of his dyno tunes. Turns out that the data log tune was 98% there. At that point we adjusted the annoying "start up" table....that came out nice! Anyway, I guess it matters to mention this event was held at a NHRA sanctioned track. That the engine is an Arrington 426 short block with Mondello Stage3 wet flow heads with a new camshaft designed by Mondello. That my last run with nitrous, the Builder Bill tranny performed flawlessly! So sit back, "light your pipe" and check out a N/A "daily driver" engine making raw mile per hour horsepower. It took the adaptives(after the tune) three(3) 1/4mi runs the night before and one (1) additional before it started selecting the optimal cells. The new Mondello cam certainly improved the ET, but more so, shot the MPH up by 3.5mph. Thats huge. Oh yea....... before I forget......when you claim a record, a time slip with a back up time slip is customary and typically required...and I provided one......but hey, what do I know! 1st RUN 2nd RUN NITROUS RUN .
Nice runs for sure! And if you need a witness I can vouch for those times too! Although I did miss the nitrous run. I had to swap my tires back before they locked us in Plus the runs are on video too. Right now it is raw footage(unedited) from all the races @ Sacramento. If anybody is interested I can post the link to them.
Steve congrats on the runs you have put alot of work into that Jeep and it is paying off. Tell Lonnie I said HI when you see him again.
It was nice meeting you and your gal. If you have those runs on Saturday, I'd appreciate getting my hands on them. Steve
Great times steve now up the shot and hit a ten already!!!!! PS sacs track sucks even though its NHRA track.
Post 55 has the links to streetfire of all the unedited film.* This is the stuff SRTBrad did.* Hour 3 has your last run on there.* Alot of video to go through.* I will ask Brad if he can edit just your runs and post them up.* Wish the vid was better.* You can see the start and then you disapear.* But the time shows up! http://www.vtcoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34356&page=6 I think your last run is around the 5:15 mark. Camera guy was too busy getting the truck on tape. Here is the vid I have of your run Saturday.* I wish my camera was better and able to get the time.* Yours is the second run.http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Sacramento-Track-vids_681805.htm
Nice dude. Do you think that Sacramento cop that watched us was a fan, or just lazy? lol I am going to supercharge what I have now to overcome the 7000 foot altitude...most likely a small boost as I am close to the tranny limit. Hope to see ya soon dude.
