My local dealer just got in a Camaro SS. I've got to say that this thing in person is brain tingling. I got the same feeling when I saw the Challenger for the first time. But I must say, the interior is awesome. I was very impressed with how true to the original they stayed with the layout and style of the guages. It really is impressive. There is some nice detail in the design of the car that you have to see in person. The car appears shorter, until you get next to it and it's about the same height as our LX's. The rear window glass is less wide which makes the rear end appear wider. It is really a great looking and sounding car. The one thing I hate though is the engine cover. This is GM's way of making the underhood look clean and less mechanical. But unfortunately is just looks like a Lexus V6. We boyz need to see our spark plug wires, fuel rails and manifolds.
There are gonna be 3 2SS coming to Aztec chevy here in beeville tomorrow....2 black and 1 red. If i could swing it i would buy one as soon as they showed up! I have started to round up sum guys for an all brand....mopar, ford, and chevy modern car club and i was lucky enough to already get a silver RS and it is sweet! I am trying to get a sales job at the chevy dealer, so you never know.
The one here is yellow with black stripes. Looks just like the transformer car. The MSRP is $39,995 and the dealer added on a $10,000 premium. What a surprise.
DEALER FAIL. That take some huge balls to do that in this economy, with the company on the verge of bankruptcy filing. Like...."Where's your dumptruck?"-kinda balls.
Sure is cool to see a good review for a change. I get sick of these die hard mopar dudes blasting it just cause it's a cheby. I haven't seen the production one yet, but checked it out the last couple years at SEMA. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
my local dealer already has their first 8 sold. full msrp. ive been looking on ebay, cheapest i can find is 38k.
I would like to see one in person before making a comment, however, I have always been a CHEVY man until my Mag SRT!
It is a very hard choice for me. I love the new Camaro and have seen it in person and sat in one. I am a Chevy guy by birth, but I also like the Challenger as well. Since both cars now come in yellow, it makes it really hard as to which one I want. Right now I would have to say the Challenger is on the top of the list as it is a bit more roomy inside for my fat body, lol. But I do love the way the yellow Camaro looks with the black stripes.
Yeah i'm absolutely in love with this car. I seriously might trade in the Jeep for one after the first year so they work out all the kinks. Not sure though, we'll have to see. That thing is just absolutely gorgeous in person and it feels SO macho. it's disgusting!
Saw one in person at Sema last year.It was Black on Black on Black. Even had a fender badge.Guess what the badge said? You guessed it. Black. One Bitchin ride for sure
Sure, I like the looks of it, but I still think the SRT8 Charger looks more agressive overall. I like the new Camaro, but my Charger is here to stay. Hell...I'm just starting to get it where I finally want it!LOL
Not a die heard Mopar fan but I still hate it...pfft.....looks like a rolling cartoon.I'd rather drive one of those overpowered Cavaliers.
I love'em! Took the wif out to see one last sun and shat my pants when I saw the dark red SS in the back. If I had a job I'd be seriously thinking about getting one. I think the Z28 will eventually make it to production so hopefully when the money comes back I'll be on top of one of those.
Thats nothing. When I first looked for an SRT 8, the dealer had an 08 Super Bee with a 19,995 markup on top of the 43,000 dollar MSRP.
