I met sgtstanko in Sacramento at SVS and had my ported intake manifold installed, followed by a tune from Bob. What a blast! Those guys are top notch and know exactly what they are doing...plus are just fun to be around. We dyno'd Steve's Jeep and my car the next morning. My car made 477 HP and 493 TQ on his dyno...but the driveability compared to my previous tune (which I thought was ok) is incredible. NO MORE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS...Random misfire codes!!!!! Gone! It idles like stock and driving around a parking lot doesn't embarass me from surging. He also noticed my knock sensors were disabled in my initial tune below 100 degrees celsius (212 degrees f.) Nice. WTF??? The intake manifold is a piece of art. It was difficult for me to decide how much more power it initially made by itself because I also had the difference in 7000 feet altitude to 50 feet altitude to consider. In all my car felt like someone else's because it had so much more power. Now that I am back home there is really no doubt...the car feels smoother and more powerful. I won't use anyone else but SVS for my car period. I know a bunch of you here have already been there done that with SVS, but for me I took a chance on an 800mile drive and now won't go anywhere else! Tons of pics and here are a few: New intake. Extrude honed and hand polished by Mondello. Congrats Jon!!. Bob really knows these rides well and you will never get a dangerous tune out of him. BTW, I got the see your manifold at Steve's house. Top notch bud.
Thanks Cam. Bob talked about you and your "endevours" He and guys like you are at the front of making cars like mine faster. Thanks dude! I can't tell you how frustrating it is to drive back to 7000 altitude. No doubt...a serious 60 or 70 horsepower. I pulled 10% fuel (WOT) somewhere at an exit in Nevada and I am STILL at around 11.0/1 here at my house. I also have like ZERO rubber left on my tires...3k miles. "Hey hunnee...we need to get some tires on the Charger...<response: ok sweetie...hey Jon....didn't we just get tires on that or was that the Pathfinder...?> lol..."Pathfinder babe..."
Don't believe nuttin that prick says. I'm a decent guy  hehe, I was lucky enough to become involved with Bob a few years ago. I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I am with the guy.
I didn't believe anything. I offered to peddle meth Plus, they didn't complain about my chew spit in every garbage and on every soaker pad in the garage. Gotta love that... I had a weird issue with my cruise control quitting after the tune but other than that rockin' stuff. Absolutely positively gonna see Arnold down there about the burnouts in the street...lol...sigh.................
YOU and your "SRT8 Smokin'" vid are the root cause of my issue Larry. NOW look at what happens from a 20 mph roll...smoke THROUGH 3rd gear my good friend Remember bud...count on a place to stay on your summer vacation if needed. I'll show you and your family Flaming Gorge Did I mention my knock sensors were TURNED OFF below 212 degrees F? I wonder how many others are like this... (does the link to the burnouts work?)
Dang Jon...that is badazz....not only the smokin tires but the sound..:thumb3::rock::salut: The summer west trip will probably be put off till 2010 due to unexpected projects this year...but I will hold you on the Flaming Gorge..
Jon Good meeting you! I was moving slow the next day after hitting the bar at the hotel. I hope your happy with the manifold and tune. That manifold is extruded and then machie and hand ported. Its as ported as ported can get without losing velocity. You missed out a good time at the track! I broke the N/A record for a Jeep again and backed it up. Stay in touch. Steve
Sounds good Larry. I will be here dude. Thanks man! I love the manifold. Definite power increase plus it looks good black. I am still kicking myself for not staying. Congratz on the kick ass runs!!!
Jon we had a great time! It was interesting to see the PPP 426 dyno against the Arrington/Mondello combination. 477/493 is no slouch by any means, but I was surprised by the smaller cam I run that mine pulled 508hp/508tq with a wide curve. .
