Toyo Proxes ST II's. Sport Truck tires. Don't laugh at my crooked left pipe. I went through a lot of crap over my THIRD set of Zoomers. :cry2:
I got some discount tire quotes for: 295/40/20's Dunlop $775.54 Mounted, balanced, etc etc BFG $673.06 '' '' '' '' '' GoodYear RSA $685.86 " " " " " " What do you think?
My rims should be finished in 2 weeks. Went with 10.25 inches and am either going with the GY F1 GS D3's in a 305/35 or the Nitto 555Rs. They look amazing.
Can you get your stock rim's widened? I know it's a stupid question but I didn't want to go with the replicas because I didn't want fronts to have SRT on them and the rears not.
Yes, you can get them widened. Mine are currently at Weldcraft wheels in Plymouth Michigan being widened to 10.25. If you go with 1/2" strips, it's 250 per wheel. I had to pay a bit more 265 per wheel. They do awesome work and have done many cars waaaayyy faster than ours. I'll post pics once they're mounted with tires on.
I know you're not an employee but I wanted to know just a brief summary on how this is done. And how it affects the strength of the wheel? Also, do they have a website?
They cut the wheel and weld in strips 1/2 inch wide. Talk to James there..he's very helpful and will describe the process for you. Check out their website: http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/
