Well, our local track has a huge weekend in nitro cars and door slammers, as well as our local forum's event, "No Bull", to which I am the assistant coordinator (coordinators bitch really lol). The No Bull is a series throughout the season where the street cars come to the track to be crowned Number 1. We have three classes, 13.0, 11.5, and 10.0. The rules are, you have to pass tech and comply with NHRA rules. The 13.0 and 11.5 classes get the Pro Tree, while the 10.0 class gets an immediate green. First one to cross the traps (without breaking out) moves to the semis, finals, and ultimately WINNER! The Nitro cars and door slammers are the best. haha The track owner (well one of them) brought his 57 Chevy out for its 4 run ever. And what a run he had. 7.4@203mph. Now keep in mind, our DA for today was right around 6500' and Loren did not hook, and took the long route to the finish. lol Was awesome to watch and we look forward for tomorrows finals. Our good friend Jim (owner of Yearwood Performance and a vendor here) had his 2004 Corvette out and was ran a days best of 8.15@168mph (ALL MOTOR). Tomorrow Jim will be adding his N2O. hehe Lots of Drag Cars out today, but they were limited to running 9.5's and 10.5's (I forget why). Anyway, it was a fun filled day and was GREAT to see the track at capacity with spectators and racers alike. Sorry, but we did not have the camera today, but will most certainly take the camera tomorrow. Just thought I would share our fun filled day. I think most of the racers today missed my car more than I do. hahaha
