Stu is buliding me a 426 Stroker for my 08 SRT8 300, I have the Kooks LT Headers and Mids Ordered, I already have a Edgde Trq Cnvrtr, Bassanni Cat Back Exhaust. The Trans I hear mixed opinions! I'm not so sure regarding my rear end or half shafts? as far as the trans, I'll pick up a Paramount or Southern Hot Rod when and if it blows, I'm sure the way I drive , it will be sooner than later. I'd appreciate if any members could forward info regarding the half shafts, and the differant options available, as far as the rear end, I need info, only if this is another weak link in the drive train. Thanks, these forums have been a excellent source of info for this build , Thanks everyone!

You will need 1/2 shafts for sure. Check with HHP, PPP, and BMC for these?

If you are sticking with just the 426, you will not be pushing enough power to break the tranny (IMO). I don't think anyone has broke the spider gears yet, and there are a hand full in the 10's and extreme low 11's.

Stu will do you right, no doubt about it.

If you do decide on a Tranny, then SHR is your choice. SHR is also a supporting vendor here.

Congrats on your purchases man!!! I am in the same boat as you for ordering parts and all I can tell you is DO YOUR RESEARCH in terms of warranty etc. on what you want. HHP and PPP are great to deal with, I am going to get the halfshafts from one of these two, along with a Quaife or Challenger differential, I decided to go with the upgraded tranny from BuilderBill with a stronger flex plate, valve body, torque converter, and TCM. But as Ron said above you aren't going to be making enough power to break the tranny, I would though upgrade your TCM. Oh and the motor...4..2...7!!!

The 426 wil be run for a while and then after the boredom sets in, I'll be looking at a Whipple 3.4 or a Techo Twin Screw! We'll see, thats down the road a little! This motor is just the foundation.
