The whole NASCAR thing WAS an April Fools Joke. I called NASCAR PR in Daytona and Mike Dushane Executive Editor of Car and Driver dot com Mike very rudely hung up on me when I said it was in bad taste. If you would like to call Mike his desk phone is 734-352-4310

    BWAHAHWHAHAHA!
Like those south of the Mason-Dixon line aren't pissed enough.

What's next? Only 3-wheeled vehicles running on bio-diesel are allowed to race within the U.S. borders under the supervision of the drivers' moms?

Didn't see that one coming, unbelieveable. What I do see coming from your new Pres is mandatory emmissions testing throughout the country for all vehicles regardless of age. I think that it could get hard to license a muscle car, no matter how new or old it is some day in the near future.

That wouldn't be an April Fools article would it?

NASCAR fans are usually Republicans. Not many Manhattanites or San Franciscans watch NASCAR

cmon guys, do you know what it costs to own and maintain a nascar team year in and year out? you are the taxpayer, your money is going to bail out these dumbasses....i would cut nascar is a second. these are tough times, entertainment is the last of my or anyones worries.

next thing i would do is cut out the majority of dealerships and sell straight for the net, cut costs on having the unused cars or trucks on lots, etc. set it up like your ordering a computer from dell. haha

While we are at it, let's cut Pro Sports, and Hollywood. Not to mention college sports.

Actors making $20 Million a film.

    Athletes making millions a year.

Madonna’s ‘Sticky & Sweet’ world tour made $282 million last year

John Calipari is headed to the University of Kentucky received an eight-year offer from Kentucky that’s worth around $35 million, ESPN reported. I'm sure Kentucky is having tough times like most states. How can they justify paying a public school employee $35 million over eight years?!?

HAHAHAHAHA. Well, to all those people who voted for change...looks like it's coming.

I'm sure they are set up like Tech. The coaches aren't paid by the school. The Athletic Association gets it's money from licensing deals, donors, ticket sales and who knows where else. Bottom line is, his salary most likely is not coming out of the schools budget. That is why they can afford to pay him like that.
