i figure you guys are down at the bar getting plastered.

    That was my second thought.
Your shop is doing great work on that 426..
    Is it a true 426 or a 418?
Did you use the same heads.. Or did you change to big valve heads?

    Some education on your 426......
I know the block has to be opened up (clearanced) in some areas for the 426 stroke.
Do the piston skirts have to be clearanced to keep from hitting during stroke?
How much taller is the piston "top land" compared to stock? (distance from top of piston to top edge of groove for the first piston ring)?

Does the 426 use the stock oil pump?
Never noticed, but is there a windage tray on a stock 6.1?
Does the longer stroke cause the crank to pull more oil from the pan or is there a change necessary to the winidage tray to allow for the longer stroke?

No. With our piston designed we have no issues..Between CMW & K1 we redesigned the counterweights on the crankshaft.

Our distance is .255 from the top ring gland

We use the factory oil pump. Our 426 we also have modified squirters

Yes, we modify the windage tray for the stroker

I know everyone is asking other questions, but how far out are you guys from having it out the door and under rons hood?

This has been a GREAT, CLEAN, and COMPLETE build guys! It really shows what your shop is made of :D

Thanks for your time in answering these questions.
Just for everyone to know.... what is the distance from the top ring gland on a stock piston? I know this is critical, because the stock piston is very shallow and this is a weak point, especially under boost.

Factory pistons are only .120 from the top ring gland

I must say, this motor is a MONSTER.

The motor pulled 567 ft lbs of torque (ALL motor) at 4400rpm's on the Engine Dyno.

Can't wait to see what the blower adds?

Thanks Bob and Scott. It was GREAT seeing and talking with you guys this last weekend.

Thanks Daniel. Yea, the excitement is building up once again. haha

They have the blower on now and will be engine dynoing this week as well as mapping out the tune requirements for ease of tuning once back on the Chasis Dyno.

This has been a wonderful build between Techco and CMW. Great folks to work with.
