Tam, your not fired (YET), .......... BUT PLEASE ..... .... NO MORE TALK OF THE GUY IN THE STRIPPED PANTS ... I need to try to get that image out of my mind ! ! ! OooooHhhhhh, I do not think my poor eyes will ever be the same (Scarred for Life) What a good time, Hhahaha .. is this going to be a yearly ritual, try to find someone with the most annoying outfit contest ?
I don't think it'd be too hard, given he was just the worst of what half a dozen or so? Though that girl that smiled at you was a looker.
Tam, you did say & I thought also, she was a looker, but, Ron had to say hooker, was that because she was taller than him was...
hahahahahaha its all good tam...she was pretty wiped out after SF and we were still blah from the jetlag....Jesse and the shoes....dont forget the John Travolta stayin alive shoes lol
Ok, so it's been a least a whole day since everybody got back... What events? The whole family wasn't fortunate enough to be able to get there. I know it takes a day to get your pics developed but how about a short run down on the "events" already?
I pulled in at 4:30 am on Saturday to find Hal, Joe and that other guy from TechCO? *sorry, bad with names* in front of the hotel with Hal's car, muttering under the hood. So I got the rundown of how Hal's car caught fire "no really, it caught on fire". Got a room, slept for half an hour, got up had breakfast. Got pulled into a "round table" meeting which I wish to god I could discuss, but it was pretty cool, Ron was there and can attest to that. Got over to the show (complimented by a corvette owner en route, even) and got my VIP spot between Drew and Sgt Stanko, how cool! Managed to take 250 pictures (see the SF pic thread). http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13531 It was pretty freakin' hot out, so after the pictures its a bit of a blur. *I hung out and chatted with Hal and Cindy for a while. *Chatted with Ron Arlasky (Zoomers) - Anybody need some Zoomers? *Hung out with Ron and Maureen in the shade of the SRT-10's hood. *Went to lunch at the Spectrum with Charles after we figured out the line for lunch was ridiculous. *Waited for what seemed like an hour in the hot sun waiting for the unveiling event which I hate to say was underwhelming. A special package V6 Challenger?? I mean, I think its cool and all, but not worth losing 20 lbs in perspiration... *Met some vendor types, guy from Corsa, guy from US Wheels. *Walked around handing out t-shirts with Chris Butler and met the SoCal Challenger crew. Pretty cool. *Talked to a bunch of my friends I only see at SF for a bit. *Because the SF was across the street from the Cars'n'Coffee meet, we had a lot of folks trying to get into our event. Even had to turn away a Challenger - Saw a LOT, I mean a LOT of Challengers... Around 3 pm I cut out to cool off and take a nap before dinner. Then spent a couple of hours in front of the hotel with the usual suspects, Ron, Hal, Cam, and lots of lxf guys. Finally six of us opted to head for the Spectrum for dinner at the Yardhouse. Food was good, but the server was dippy as all hell. I requested a pint of "Red Hook Extra Stout" because it was on the menu. The girl was all "we don't have that". So I looked at the menu again. "Oh, I'll have the Red Hook ESB" "Ok!" Service was really really slow, so I was nice and beer buzzed by the time we all were leaving. Cut to "The Pants" story - http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13617 And then back to the hotel, for more hanging around chatting in front of the hotel entrance before going to bed around 1:30 am. I think between 7 am on Friday and 1:30 am on Saturday I slept for maybe four or five hours (3 hours Friday evening, half an hour Saturday morning, an hour on Saturday afternoon). Yesterday the drive home was all high wind, dust clouds, tumbleweeds, RVs, and CHP.
