I know I've seen some posts on here before regarding spare tires but I can't seem to find them.

I'm planning some road trips and I'm not comfortable with just the pump and goo for a potential tire failure. Since I haven't been able to find 1 spare SRT8 wheel/tire, does anyone know of a space saver tire that will fit? I remember reading that an 18" 300 spare will fit the back but not the front. Is this correct?

    Thanks.

I wish I knew for sure but my guess is that the 18" compact spare will fit but would need a spacer/adapter to fit on the front or back.

On the caliber a regular caliber rim fits from what I recall. You just have to swap the rear tire to the front if you get a flat up front. :) It only fits the rear.

srt8 have full brembos so im not sure if a regular LX rim will fit the rear?

its possible to make a spare tire work with us.

theres something with spacers that are needed but it can in fact work.

I know I'm REALLY helpful here...but i can assure you that you can in fact get a spare tire to work with our cars :)

Check Ebay i think they have an SRT8 "spare tire kit"...at least they did as of a while back....

not sure if any vendors have anything....but couldnt hurt to check them too

There is no question that the 18" 300 compact spare will work. Will it work on the back without a spacer/adapter? I do not think so. I think that it needs about a 1.25" spacer to work on the front or back. That is what the Ebay spare tire kit comes with. You can build your own kit for less than half the price that they are being sold for by the Ebay seller.

There is just hardly and backspace on the compact spare. I cannot believe that it would not hit even the rear caliper without the spacer creating the extra space.
