Hey SRTC, I realized I never officially introduced myself to all of you here. I know a good number of you from other forums (LXforums and CustomMagnums) and I've probably met a few of you at SpringFest or local AZ events. Any how, my name is Ryan Walsh aka rwalshphoto. I am a commercial photographer here in Phoenix, AZ and I also do contract marketing and creative advertising services. As some of you may have seen or already known I handle creative marketing aspects of AEcarbon and the majority of product photos you see have been captured by me. I take pride in my work and in my car and I'm glad to be a part of the innovation taking place at AE. I contribute where I can sometimes building parts, interacting with customers, sales/promotions, sponsorship, product photos... you name it. Joe, George and Jess are all great people and have a lot to bring to the table and I'm glad to be by their side to bring this product to market. A little background bio... I'm 24yo, been married for almost 5 years. My wife and I own a condo in North West Phoenix and have a great dane (hence the need for a Magnum). My wife is a fashion designer and showed at Scottsdale Fashion Week and was one of the top 5 finalist in the designer of the year competition. We are both college students; she is working on her masters in fashion design and I am working on my bachelors in Marketing. I was raised around cars, grew up on motorcycles and sandrails and Veedubs. In high school I built a low 14 second baja bug, balanced 1915, Gene Berg heads, ceramic coated exhaust, 45DRLA Dellortos...etc. Perfect inside and out. That car was stolen and stripped down to the pan Nov. 2007...broke my heart. I also had a 99 VW beetle (herbie clone) 2.0L with Neuspeed Supercharger, RKsport suspension, ABD short shift, BBS wheels, etc...car was totalled Jan 07 in an accident. So here I am with the Magnum. A little about my car and what I'm about... Yes, I have a V6 car wanna fight about it :sly:?? Nah, just blowing smoke. Its my car, its what I have and what I could afford. No its not an SRT and it never will be, but it makes me happy and its one of the nicest cars I've ever owned and I'm proud of it so take that for what its worth. I've been working to bring new V6 performance parts to market that have not been seen in the LX world yet. In the past months I've ported and polished lower intake manifolds for 2 test cars including my own and shipped 3 other units to customers. I've also been testing ported throttle bodies for both the 3.5L and 2.7L engines in 4 different variations on multiple vehicles. My car was the 3rd one in the country with the Inertia Motorsports Camshafts and also to be custom tuned by one of the finest (Mike LaFrad). According to recent dyno testing my car put 199hp and 220tq which is a 25hp and 25tq gain over stock with all of my mods. This testing was performed on a Dyno Dynamics unit which includes vehicle weight into its load range and correction factors so the numbers are true to what the car is putting down while driving and pushing its own weight and not just on rollers. So the numbers are a fair bit lower then Dynojet or Mustang. The throttle body I have been working on has also proven to put down a 5hp and 5tq gain as well as increased throttle response and performance on the top end as reported from 4 independent testers. The ported manifold will be put to the test within a week or so. So yep, its a V6 but its what I have and I'm doing my best to make it what I can. So if any of you have a V6 car as a daily driver or know someone who does, send them my way and I will set them up with parts. Thanks all, I look forward to posting more on this site and AEcarbon info. -Ryan Walsh

Hahaha, yeah thanks guys I realized after I typed it just how long it was. I get tired of the typical OMG, what CAI is best sorta intros. Yeah, got married at 19 and yeah she's pretty hot and her dream car is a 1965 AC Cobra and she told me so on our first date so thats my equivalent of "you had me at hello" lol. As far as photos of my work checkout my myspace (myspace.com/rwalshphoto) or my website www.rwalshphoto.com but here is some primarily of my car so you can see some of it:
finally someone that doesn't live and breath photoshop (or make it appear as such) with their photos.
Thanks, I take that as a big compliment. I was a film purest for a very long time until I started shooting more commercial work and came to the realization that its just stupid to pretend film has anything left to give. I still have my 4x5 rig but I sold off all my Hasselblad gear to buy my 5D and an L series lens. Here are the last shots I did with my hasselblad and infrared film.
