    On Friday (3/6) DTP will be doing some initial dyno testing on a new cold air system developed by JLT True Cold Air. Anyone that knows DTP is aware that we are big proponents of the Airade CAI, but we think that this new setup by JLT is going to perform as well, if not better than the Airade. The CAI will be made of real carbon fiber and retail around the $300-320 area. For those of you that aren't familiar with JLT, just pick up a copy of any Mustang magazine and you will see tons of Mustangs, Cobras, GT500's and Lightning/F150's using their products. They have an outstanding look, as well as great performance gains and "budget" pricing.

    We will also be doing some testing for Dave at Modern Muscle on some new ported stock throttle body designs and a mildly ported intake manifold.

    We'll keep you updated.

    Well, we finally got a clear day on the dyno and did all the testing. We used my personal 06 300 SRT. The car has a HHP Stage 1 cam, Airaid CAI, Modern Muscle ported 85mm TB, DTP Custom tune and some heavy non-forged 22" wheels (very power robbing). The exhaust is completely stock.
    Temp= 64, Hum= 79, Bar pres= 30.19 SAE Correction=.987
    Oil temp 185 and coolant temp 190 for each pull.

    1. Baseline= 417 rwhp and 419 rwtq
    2. JLT CAI installed= 420rwhp and 420 rwtq- HP layed right over the baseline until 4.8K then picked up a few HP.
    3. MM 87mm TB installed= 428rwhp and 428 rwtq
    4. MM mildly ported intake manifold installed= 439rwhp and 438rwtq

    All of the testing was done within a few hours to keep things as consistant as possible. With stock or lighter wheels, I honestly believe we would have seen 450+ rwhp. We will be testing some mildly ported heads from Modern Muscle in the near future...and hopefully see 455-460rwhp. Keep in mind: completely stock exhaust and a Stage 1 cam.
