Hello all! Here is a link to order the parts to modify your valve body for "Firmer", more "Positive" shifts! Southern Hotrod NAG1-SIP "Shift Improvement Package" The cost is $500 which includes shipping in the 48 continental United States. We have a few sets on the shelf and more on order!
Any pics of what is included? From what I read on lxforums, we have to modify the valve body ourselves correct? Seeing what's involved and parts will help me make a decision on this...
Very simple install! Drop your valve body and then swap out a couple of solenoids! Thanks it! I have not tested them in a SRT-6, but it should work just fine. It does work in E55's and CLK55's.

Even I can do that! but you should change the "firmer and more positive shifts" to "much firmer and very positive shifts". LOL This mod works PERIOD!
I got mine today. I was waiting to see some big huge box. but no just this tiny little box on my steps. I still think 500$ for these two little parts that come in a mercedes box is a little much.
Eddie .. lets tell these folks if this mod is something that will strictly benefit big horsepower guys, or if this a mod that will benefit these LX's greatly even after pulling it off the lot ....
Yes, will the little guys that want firmer - positive shift, will this help us or is this just for the big HP boys ?
Well guys, I finally got to drive the car with the SHR shift improver. Its still cold here and traction is non-existant so my initial report is partial at best. When in drive at part throttle for normal driving, the shifting is friendly but you notice a difference. Its not overly agressive when cruising around town. When I went to paddle shift and drive more agressively, very firm shifts and quick. Biggest difference was the 3/4 shift. Very firm as are the 1/2 and 2/3. I couldnt go completely WOT to give a report there, just too cold and slippery. Initial feedback is a thumbs up. Cant wait to try it out at the track and on the street as it warms up.
good feedback Dan .. please keep us posted ... can you comment on your downshifts?? does it throw you into the steering wheel under hard braking??
Stop rememind me!!! God I hate how mines slipping!!!!! hey if everyone chippd in a 1$ on this forum I could get a trans what do ya say??? My shift kit goes in tomorrow and if it is not raining I will post what I find.
