My question is about the VB upgrade. The way I read it was that all you do is replace 2 solenoids. That's all you get. $500.00 for 2 solenoids seems a pretty steep to me. Hopefully the prices on the trannies will come down now that there seems to be at least 3 out there now.

So does any one know if I can use the mopar tcm with the upgraded VB???

I talk to my trans guy & he said those solenoids are about $225. - 250. a piece. putting them in is just the old R & R and your good to go.

I am happy with my buy from SHR its 100$ cheaper than the other VB that are out and if I recall they where working together so my guess is its the same VB

Now the Mopar tcm just came to my door I dont kno if I should put it in and the VB this weekend? or just sell the Mopartcm because Its not going to help my upgraded VB.

Bill says the MP TCM or increased shift firmness with the Diablo is not the way to go. It hits far to hard. Your results may vary.

Back in the day, I installed what was called a B&M shift kit in my turbohydromatic 400 tranny. Cost for the kit was about $30. This thing would put your dick in the dirt!Point is, there was no need to replace the VBS, just upgrade with some check balls, o-rings and seals. The job was quick and easy even for a novice like myself. Anyone heard of a simillar kit for the Nag1?

    $4,250.00 1 year warranty included.....

Yes if you bought another companies "modified valve body kit" you received 2 solenoids...LOL

If that's what you guys want, send me a PM and I'll give you the part numbers.
There is so much more to it.
Oh well, I'm going to leave that alone.
    Bill

    Wow.....that is a misunderstanding somewhere.

I would say that a modified TCM (MTCM or DynoSteves) is a must.
They seem to play well with my valve body.

Unfortunately, the reprogramming of the TCM can only bump the line pressure and shift pressure slightly....

I do recommend my modified valve body on 10 second capable vehicles or supercharged vehicles.
My NAG1 shifts VERY well without a modified valve body.

Ya there was. What I said John was that I didn't think it was adviseable to run Bill valvebody and the mopar TCM. I thought I remember Bill saying it hit to hard. But that might have been a few revissions ago too.
