So i go to the dealership to day. I tell them to install the MOpar TCM. I tell the guy right off the bat PLEASE dont use a star scan or flash my car. They install the TCM and the car will not run. Tand charge me 100$ for labor. I talked to the head guy about it He had the nerve to yell back and me and argue with me. So FYI Burlingame jeep chrysler is a HUGE scam!!! he tells me I should have known it wouldnt have worked with out a flash. But yet he is the one that works on them all the time. shouldnt he have said right when I said no star scan that he couldnt do it? rather he trys somthing he knows will not work and charge me any ways. I have boughten 3 cars form them and he didnt even care. I wanted to spit in this guys face! I am PISSED second who has a highly modded car that is also running a Mopar tcm? how did they get it to work?
John, They HAVE to use the Star Scan to set a few settings to be able to read the new TCM. The only thing you needed to tell them was to NOT Flash it..

They may not have known what to do? Your Mopar TCM should have come with instructions for them? Who's to say that the TCM wasn't bad? It has happened on occasion. Even with PCM's.
Is that something with the 6.1 and the MPTCM cause most of us just stick it in ourselves and go through the driving procedure in the instructions..........no starscan......When you buy it from MPSC they just say stick it in and drive around
exactly!!!! although there is something about the 07' and newer cars that it does not work on. something to do with the autoshift feature if i am not mistaken!!!

Yours isn't a 07 right??. And no matter what, the Mopar TCM was made for the 5.7. Sooooo, you need to use the Prediator and in the quick adjust menu, change the gear ratio to 3:08. Other then that, it's plug and play. Now if it's not plugged in 100%, the car will not start.
I am callthis this a loss. This unit will be up for sale if Anthony doesn't still want it No my cars a 06 the car started it just died when they tried to push in the gas while it was in gear
Gawd damn-it john, go plug that fucker back in and make sure everything is connected 100%. Change the gear ratio in the quick adjust menu and go drive your Fn car. BTW, it will not start the frist time you turn the key. You must do it twice.
