I have a 2008 Charger SRT8 with a Vortech Supercharger and today it wouldn't start. It cranks over but doesnt start. Someone please help!!!
remove the battery cables for 10 minutes.............if you have a canned tune reflash you PCM...otherwise..
Should I take to Dealer or should I wait for Vortech to open Monday. They did the install about 4-5 months ago. Its still under warranty. I only have 2,750 miles. I'm so pissed off right now!!:censored:
FUEL PUMP Boost-a-pump either fried it OR boost-a-pump blew a fuse Trust me.....i KNOW....happened to my Jeep.....upgrading my fuel pump and Vortech is looking into the OEM pump failure
Boost A Pump blew a fuse. Where does Vortech mount the boost a pump? Once you find that, there will be an inline fuse coming off of the BaP. I have also learned that the wiring coming off of the Boost A Pump is too small of a gauge wire. I rewired with bigger gauge wire. See my How-To on Boost a Pump installation for wiring size....
I got it started. The boostapump blew the inline fuse, actually it melted it. So thanks to everyone who told me to check it:thanks: It was located underneath the windshield wiper shroud. Does anyone know what would have caused this- bad wiring, bad boostapump, ??
As I stated my previous post, the wiring gauge is too small. You need to upgrade to a thicker gauge wire. I have blown 5 fuses (three were on highway drives hundreds of miles away from home), and melted as many wires. lol The BaP is fine, so no worries there. The problem is the wiring is not worthy enough to handle the load, which is why the fuse blows and melts... Oh, I highly recommend that you replace ALL wires going to the relay from the BaP and power wire. Anything after the relay is ok. The relay will cool things down enough (supposedly). Glad you got it working. Here is a link to my BaP How-To. http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=411 I upgrade to 12 gauge wire...
