We got started on the Techco supercharger installation last night and I have to say ... what a breeze! We only spent a couple of hours and got half of it done, at least. I didn't have my nice camera at the shop yesterday, but took some pics with my iPhone, so you could see the process. The 115-page color installation manual that comes with the Techco supercharger kit is so thorough, I didn't need to take any pics to show details of this process. Great job on the manual and the components are all top notch, Techco gang!! Here are the pics from last night ... Before. Lots of oil, after only 2,500 miles ... yikes!! Nice fender covers, huh? Steve modifying the wiper structure. Steve soldering the water pump wiring. Ready to pin the crank. Muggsy is supervising, as usual. Test fitting the blower. Thanks to Steve and Mikey for helping! I am sure Mikey has some pics of me working on it, too, lol. More to follow tomorrow when we wrap this up and get her back on the road! We are taking the car to Johan at Diablo for custom tuning this Friday. (I'm taking a customer's car we supercharged for tuning tonight, so mine has to wait.) Lisa.
This will be a nice improvement in your continuing to make faster passes down the track! Nice job and a clean shop.
Yes! I'm going to try and spray a 75 shot at the top end of the track, but I took all the lines out during the supercharger install so we can make new ones (in black perhaps) to make a cleaner install. Thanks!! I'm at Diablo right now, and Frank (the 300 guy) is here because he had to hear it in person, ha ha. We are starting his tomorrow! We finished the installation last night, and I am at Diablo with the car as I post this. More to follow as we start tuning, but here are some pics (via my iPhone) from the rest of the installation last night. More in the next post ... ... the rest ... Muggsy is happy!! Here we are at Diablo right now ...
What is the est. max potential of this supercharger? Is there an upgrade unit? Im looking for something that will be compatible with our build [800-1000whp range]. We planned on building a twin turbo kit for it, but alas we dont have the time to make that happen right now
Here is a quick start-up video from the first fire last night: http://www.tvbmc.com/play.php?vid=1140 More videos to follow!! We are building a 800+ rwhp 6-speed Challenger (426 stroker, the works) with a Techco supercharger, so this can meet your needs. Techco hasn't released the high-boost version yet, but they are in the testing process right now, so it will be available soon. I'd highly recommend their kit, and we can give you wholesale pricing if you are interested in one!
