Ran at sac today. CRAPPY COLD ASS WEATHER!!!!! any ways I ran a 11.7 at 124 with a 2.1 sixt foot. plus burning out down the whole track. And I dont know if it was becuase the tires were spinning or if its the trans but the car would not change gears. it was bad the 2-3 was crap and the 3-4 was the worst lag I have ever felt.

Had a blast my buddy who owns a 10second GTO drove my car ran a 12.6 and said that he wouldnt drive it again and that its to scary downthe track with out traction.

Well that sucks John. I kinda of feel that way about my tranny. I might try the valve body mod and the MOPAR TCM.

I ran a 12.22@113 w/ 1.91 60'. The track was like ice. I had to abandon a couple runs because I could feel the car slipping half way down the track.

I think Hector ran a 12.55@115 w/ lousy 60' time. He kept hitting limp mode during the burnout (I did once).

There was a SRT8 Challenger there that ran 13.2@107, a Hemi Orange Daytona that ran 14.5 and a RT w/ R&T that ran 14.2

Oh yeah, and a GT500 Mustang that ran 13.8 - seems no one buys drag radials for these things as this is pretty typical of what I've seen at the track

yea I am now 100% sure I will hit a 10 when I get good traction. and a new trans. Going to take rons(nrocals) advice about going to a taller tire and going back to a drag radial.

Hal your ging to need one too. that tcm and vaule body will jsut act as a bandaid. I am kinda shock ron doesnt have alot more problems since he almost has the same set up as me.

MOL I dout they did shit to the track to day since it was ment for 11.50 bracket racing I was the fastest car I saw there to day. I will say this a supercharged 300c turns alot of heads.

Ron I see you looking at this thread what are you typing buddy

Congrats on the 11.7, even if it did suck.

That kinda surprises me...I would have thought that to be not typical. I thought the GT500's were lighter than the Challengers and had more horsepower. How does that translate to slower? The stock SRT8 runs faster than 13.8 right?

You missed it John, there was a yellow Nova trailered in that ran an 11.7 @ about 81 MPH :) He was all over the track before shutting down.

I was talking to the tow truck drivers there before I left and they mentioned how your car was sliding all the way down the track.

I was tempted to go up for the test and tune on Saturday but after last night I don't think I"ll waste my time.

I know GT500s are faster than that but for some reason everyone I've seen who brings them to the track doesn't have drag radials and doesn't know how to launch without spinning like crazy. I think more collector types seem to buy these cars and they don't really track them very much. I saw the same thing with a Super Snake a couple months ago. It ran a 15 then some 13s.

you know what I ment. Nice talking to ya last night man. Get on duty tonight!

HAHAHAHA I weight 150 and I am only 5'10 so I am pretty small.

I am gingto be going back to a taller tire and getting a secret transmission. So I hope these will help cure my traction issues. Since I dont want to drive the car down the track again in its current fourm. I WAS SCARE I am not going to lie, it was sideways the whole way down. Its just not worth the risk for shitty time slips and messing my transmission up even more.

Yea would have been alot better if I didnt have the trans waiting to diecied it it wanted to shift in to gear.
