Chess, 13 and 24 days is not exactly time enough to form an educated opinion...looking at your pics, looks like Qatar...Doha is a pretty booming city...just need to know how to get around...if it is not Qatar, then I would guess Kuwait. I have served over 4.5 years in the Southwest Asia (Middle East), and there are some amazing spots and as well as the dumps...but that exists every where... If you judging a country based on military quarters, you are not giving them a chance... Believe we also have some members on here from Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE...just thinking we need to be considerate of all members... Stay safe in your travels.
Hey the last time I was there we slept in tents, had dirt floors, ate once a day and walked to work thru a mine field. Looks like its changed a bit. Glad I got out when I did!
