-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's my results: 1.74 60ft / [email protected] 1.73 60ft / [email protected] 1.76 60ft / [email protected] (heat soaked) 1.79 60ft / [email protected] (heat soaked) 1.78 60ft / [email protected](again, heat soaked) 1.73 60ft / [email protected] Done on GY Supercar Runflats 40/40 psi front / 34/34 psi rear. for most of the runs (not the "heat soaked" runs) I let the Jeep cool for 30 mins or so between runs, the "heat soaked " runs were with 15 mins or so of cooling. Technique: Drove around water box, ESP off, auto stick in manual first gear, stab accelerator at last yellow, let trans shift itsself. I have to say , this is one of the most fun cars I've ever drag raced, although not nearly the fastest. Only mods are BWoody CAI,stat,Diablo tune. There was a second SRT8 Jeep there today as well, also modded, but didn't elaborate, was running 12.60's, so I assume was similar to my setup. I couldn't bring myself to tell him I had a tune, I guess I'm just an ass that way, lol. __________________
very impressive numbers!!! what were the temps where you were running??? that seems slightly quick for a jeep with minor mods....... man, i wish i could manage those kind of short times with my charger!!! lol just raced a jeep last weds night and he was three lengths in front right from the get go!!! yeah i reeled him in but i was playing catch up the entire length of the track!!! lol gotta love awd!!!
It got close to 60 degrees today, my first run , the temp was upper 40's though, explains the 12.5s over the others, that and heat soak. I wish they'd make a composite intake, ala the GM LS intakes, for the Hemi to help eliminate the heat soak issue with the intake. I know they make intake spacers, but the metal intake can still get aweful hot after a little driving.
Not 100% on the DA, it's Rockingham Dragway in MArston ,NC. Temp was between mid 40's and 60 degrees during my time there today.
Rockinham is only at 210' in elevation, so I suspect the DA was pretty low. I might be back up in Greensboro in Feb, so I might have to give Rockingham a shot.
What were your 1/8 mile times and what options do you have from the factory so i can fig your jeeps weight and whats your weight also. Ok i did the DA at your track at 12pm & 4pm. so if you ran from these times you were in - DA WHICH IF CORRECTED IT WILL SLOW YOUR TIMES DOWN. time.....temp.....humidity.....pressure.....track altitude is 350 ft 12pm....46.4.......29%..........30.21...........-699 ft below sea level 4pm......50.0.......28%..........30.16...........-394 ft same. Even corrected these are very good times. I took your 1st and last run to show if you ran inbetween these times what the DA was and corrected times would be Based on: 12PM NOON exsamples Temp: 46.4° Humidity: 29% Track Altitude: 350 feet Pressure: 30.21 in. 1/8th mile times are 7.9's at 85+mph, The jeep has nav and sunroof and I weigh 175lbs. Also, a little over 1/2 a tank of gas. GY runflat tires (heavier than non-runflats by a few pounds). Floor mats , cargo cover and rear pan tray out of the jeep (10-15lbs).
Ok this is just about as close as i can get without really putting it on the scales. jeep wt 4791 (YOUR JEEPS WT WITH EVERY OPTION IS 4831) your wt..175 race wt..4966 lbs That 1/8 mile time is great and your rite on par with your wt and mods.
