Well we installed the first production Vortech 6.1L kit on my SRT8 back in August...and I now have almost 6000 miles on my car with the kit. The car is my daily driver and is still s blast to drive, and have had no issues to date.

Unfortunately, our local track was closed for renovations and just reopened last month. With all of the things we have been testing on Lisa's new Challenger I hadn't made it to the track yet, so Saturday was the first time.

My goal was not to set the world on fire but simply get a feel for the track with the new setup, I made quite a few passes, the temp was about 70-80 degrees for most of the day.

My current setup is basically a Stock SRT8, with only a Cat Back, no other drivertrain mods.
Vortech Supercharger System, with Vortech's canned tune, we have not tweaked or touched anything. No drag radials, no upgraded half shafts, no cam/heads etc. Just a plain jane SRT w/ a Vortech bolted on. This was done on purpose, we wanted to get some miles on the car with this setup, since this is what most of our customers will be using. For the same reason we wanted to know how the car would do at the track in this trim.
My best run of the day was:

    60 ft: 2.081
    330': 5.516
    1/8 Mile: 8.275
    1/8 MPH: 88.45
    1000 ft: 10.661
    1/4 Mile: 12.653
    1/4 MPH: 113.75

There is alot more in the car even without tuning or drag radials...I was very easy on the lanches, probably wasn't WOT until well past 330 foot. My tires were street radials that were 35psi, and almost bald. This is why you see the run much faster at the tail end of the track. This will easily be low 12's with better DA, and better lanches, with tuning and D/R's 11's should not be unattainable.

Now we need some D/R's and better 60's then on to tuning.

Or I could just have Lisa drive the car...that will be good for a fewtenths....
as you can see in my sig...twisties are more my thing....John Force I am not!

Mid 12's with a 2.0 60' not bad at all, it is pulling hard in the mid to upper RPM's, NICE!

    Congrats!

Went to the track again Wednesday...still no D/R's, Halfshafts or custome tune...

New best with bald street tires and canned tune.
    12.48 @ 117 MPH :)
Still cant go WOT until well past the 60 foot...2.09 60' times...with traction I may see 11's as is :)

That's a great time and the MPH you're at is definitely good for a high-11's run if you had the tires and suspension to handle it. My 11.8 was at a high 116 MPH, so if you could get the DRs and axles to use all your power, you'd be at least that quick. :) Good job!
