Do Techco owners drag race?

brute......... considering there are only a handful of units actually on the road to my knowledge, we need to be patient. lol

i know for a fact there are a couple of cars in their hands right now that see track time. stay tuned, we will be seeing the times soon enough!!!

 

Well Ron's car is there now. He will probably drag race, but he's not a stock block, but he still has a stock cam.

Trojan will be racing all the time, but he's a built 426.

John's car is there, it's a stock block with a Vortech coming off. Maybe we can get him to the track. I'll bait him. LOL

There aren't that many out there yet.

Snehal's brothers Charger SRT8 is there, he's H/C stock block. I'm not sure he will do much racing either. Ron and Snehal are in NM at altitude, so their numbers won't be close to sea level numbers.

I'll have one in the future also. My car's a monster without one. LOL

Guess you'll have to wait for times.

 

I don't know about drag racing, but they've got some bad-to-the-finish-line road racing vehicles at the shop.

I mean, I even saw a Saleen Mustang I liked in there.
(It had a 3rd pedal....)

 

Hi Brute, I am probably more anxious to get my car to the track, than you are to see the results. I picked my ride up from Techco, on Christmas eve and left 5 days latter for New Zealand on business. When I get back at the end of this month, I plan on taking it to Sacramento, and make some runs. Stay Tuned!!

I'll be up around Vacaville in a few weeks.

 

They are still in testing and the production units are shiping now....we will be installing one on Lisa's 5.7L Chally and that will see the track weekly, we also are adding one to a 426 Stroker Build that will have a full cage and be setup for the strip. Also two other builds in the next month are getting Techco's so keep your eyes on our forum...we will have lots of info soon!

My bro's Charger and my Jeep see a lot of track time here in ABQ, however our elevation/DA is horrendous.

Me planting ticking devices at the track...not me.:zorro:....I got vids to prove that I was JUST racing! LOL! Actually speaking of which I gotta find that vid GooberMT made that had the Charger at the track.

Edit: I was trying to count how many times I went to the track last year...(I kinda stole my bro's car a couple times lol)....I took the Jeep to the track 8 times last year running a best of 14.2..the Charger went to the track 5 times last year best of 13.4 with a 2.1 60'...I got better times racing around 10-11 at night....

Track opens 2nd week of March here..so I'll post vids and results...

 

Brute i know your pain.....i damn near harrassed the Vortech LX's to get times and not one of them did and they had them on since last August!

By the way my average mpg today on the freeway was 20.7....not bad huh?

Seriously these blower companies should interview and run background checks on their r&d picks so they can not only sell more units but get some track times not just dyno numbers

 

Everyone know's I purposly built my Challenger for the SMS/Techo S/C'r. Everyone knows I've been waiting, and waiting and waiting, Everyone knows Ive rolled with the flow and ran N/A two times now, That was plan adjustment mode for me, I was promised a blower on Jan 9th, I was then promised a blower on Jan 14th, Now Techo is playing games with SMS, Wanna know what I think?

I think Techo is scared to death to give me my Blower. For fear of what a few guys without a team of engineers can do with it.

What if Trojan smoke's us? What if Trojan improves the kit? What if Trojan runs the world Record? Cant let a SMS Blower hit the track before Techo, its clear to see whats happening, Im sure theres some mumbo jumbo that can buy them more time but to me its obvious they want to hold SMS back thru red tape. Straight up, Thats what I think, I personally have never talked to Carlos, Ive heard plenty of "quotes" from him, Ive even heard

"Were doing everything we can to hook Trojan up"? Ive seen none of this.


SMS holds the patent to that entire system, There is one condition in place so that Techo can produce that blower. 1 condition.

Techo must sell the unit to SMS, period end of story. Im afraid from here on out it may get ugly. They have said they do not recognize the SMS purchase order? Hows that?

Im tired of playing games with this. I was the first one to say.

"Why are they putting blowers on cars with 22's?" Meanwhile 12 miles away there a purpose built low comp motor that was built speciffically for there twin screw. Dont tell me theres no games going here.

This unit would alreay have been tested at the track 3 different times.

Everyone knows that Cam and I were in that building before anyone, Before the mass's came knocking on the door. When it was 1 big happy SMS family, Im blown away from what Ive seen. And Im not gonna let it go.

that is patented by Steve Saleen. I dont need a CAI, or a strut tower brace. Just the Blower I was promised by Sept 30th 2008. You know the one that I entirly built my car around. Thats the one Im looking for. The scratched up one in the corner that Im gonna modify anyway.
The one that is rightfully mine. The one I earned, not the free one!

Oh and one more thing, Its pretty obvious that several vendors/folks have directly followed my build and are now trying to duplicate it.

Sorry to hear you still haven't gotten the blower Chris......not sure of the politics behind this but I do remember reading from both sides that you were supposed to have one of the first out there and I see them selling to everyone else.Sucks for sure.

 

Hey paul I know its easy to hit the track when you have traction...but I hear you wouldnt run ralph when he said lets go...He is the only one of the vortech lxs to actually have a LSD where as you have all wheel from the factory...Adam did take his car up but do to the fact that he has heads/cam he is running out of injector and fuel so it wasnt safe. Also the fact that he was blowing the coupler off didnt help...if you would like I am sure Ralphs offer still stands to run

The funniest thing to me is that you get this bad rep on the boards for being an ass hole and talking shit but Ralph came to me after meeting and said it must be an e-penis thing because you sure got quite in person...
