So maybe you could have gone another 10K or 20K... the flip side is that if it fails you lose everything and add a "0" on the end of the price.

The outer of the timing belt might look fine but how about the inside? Flip it inside out and bend it over. See if there's any stress cracks/cracks. Check the actually teeth for wear as well. I wonder how the timing belt cover looked like too as that would have shown belt wear deposits.

You could have gone another 10k or 20k maybe but its good to change things when they need to be changed. That's like people who think they run Synthetic oil can change it at 6k or even 9k some even think once a year because they are paying for "expensive" oil. Oh I used to hear it all the time from customers when I was a tech.

    Yeah well said.

Car does run better I noticed! Also whats up with my CAM pos. on the scan gauge. Before the work was done it was at 64. Now its a 0? Not sure if its something the computer will change after a while?

Heres the other pict I took that I left out...

    Total bill was $656.24
    Labor was $290.43
    Parts was $317.77
Labor would of been $60 less... if it wasn't for my solid tranny mount. I still think thats BS that they charge me more because of that. I did get 25% off of labor and 10% over cost on OEM parts. I will double check the timing belt tomorrow. But when I tok a video of it it was worn a bit. The teeth look great. Didn't flex it and look for cracks though.
