How would the car sound if I just replace the stock mufflers with some Flowmaster 44s? Of course I like HP, but I really would like some extra sound. Nothing loud, but something deeper in sound. I've heard several Dodge Ram trucks that sound great. They have a deep sound, but its not obnoxious.

This is my daily driver, so it can't be loud. Any suggestions? Would welding in some Flowmaster 44s get me that deep sound????

Thanks. That sounds great. So, the only thing you did was to weld in some Flowmaster 44s? Nothing else? Also, what size mufflers did you get ? Any part number?

    Thanks.

Any idea how the car would sound with just the mufflers replaced? (ie. not cutting out the resonators?) I've heard that if you cut out the resonators you get a drone in the car.

    Thanks.

but since you have a 300 you'll have to verify that....

I deleted the suitcase and mufflers. Straight pipe with no drone. I know its hard to believe but its the truth. To be honest, I dont think theres much difference from an slp1 setup to what im running. I had magnaflow tips welded on as well...

I got the Zoomers catbacks for the sound. Yeah, its kind of limp in terms of low-end torque, but it feels like it has buckets more torque on the high end. Basically driving around town it feels a little sluggish, but when you romp on it, its a nice little schwing! moment. Between the Zoomers and the Airhammer, I still had 385/374 on the dyno.

And yeah, I read up on the stock exhaust when I got the SRT, and it was specially designed to use the backpressure to produce more torque, so its hard to beat stock in those terms.
