Anybody know how to adjust the emergency brake on the 2007 SRT8 charger? Thanks in advance for the info. Alex
My buddy at work got one.... super bee edition. The emergency brake wont hold the car in the driveway, Any ideas?
Bad pads? Or the emergency brake line has come loose and is not squeezing the brakes hard enough to stop roll back.
Yea, Tell him to join the forum. haha What Tony said above. lmfao Never mind, looks like he just joined. MacGuyver?
lol Is he in ABQ proper? If so, he can go to Melloy Dodge. Talk with Chris or Thomas in Service. The Bee should still be under warranty.
:future: Hi guys! Ya, cable has slack, like it needs adjustment, e-brake almost goes to floor. pads are good, cable is connected. Being they are "self adjusting", is there any trick like applying e-brake while backing, like with old drum brakes?? Hoping for a "self" fix, not having to take it in to a shop. Thanks!
I hate it when im right I could not even beging to tell you if you can self adjust it as I have never even looked under there to see the hardware etc. Good luck.
when i applied my ebraks the mag would roll back,my pads was getting low, change the rear pads,no more roll.
Know this thread is a little dated, but I hava 06' MSRT8 that seemed to roll back when parking brake applied, changed pads, but realized that I actually had to put a lot of force to get it hold. It would seem to me that if the cable is hanging somewhat loose, it may have come off of one of guides that is sits on in its path to the rear brakes. Probably corrected by now, and if it is, please post what the solution was?
