I have some neon that I am installing and I am wondering how to wire it into the electrical system.

I want it to turn on when the lights kick on I think... or when the car is running will be just fine.

Can someone tell me where or if I can tie that in under the hood somewhere?

hmm, I would check with your local police and find out the laws governing neon (under glow). You might want to hard wire direct to the battery and use a toggle switch to control when it comes on.

I really want it on when the lights are on and dont want to have to run a switch that I have to turn on and off.

Better to seek forgiveness than permission, right?

    haha true that.

So then, wait until you do the projectors then tap into the side marker lights. I "Think" the power wire is the Brown/White wire?

Send me a reminder PM and I will double check tomorrow for you.

Get a relay and use the marker lights as the signal line to actuate the relay and tie the other end to the battery. That way when the cops start pulling you over for the lights you can easily shut them off by pulling the relay.

Dang it Ron!!!! I checked and it is illegal to put them where I want them. So now I am stuck with a couple lights that are pretty much of NO use to me.

I should have been smart enough to look that up before buying them.

    Ouch.

Well, I just did not want you to find out the hard way. lol

You can still install them, just don't have them on while driving. Have them on while parked?

So... been thinking on what to do with those lights. I might wire them up anyway with a switch like you are talking about. I am at least going to look into it. Will depend on the switch part... I don't want anything but factory looks on the inside.
