    So we had a dyno day on a mustang AWD dyno, very new and very nice however we were left scratching our heads as the dyno numbers just did not seem right so the one Jeep that dynoed the highest with just a tune and intake I challenged to a little "SAFE" street run in front of the shop

    um...so he dyno'd better? but you won?? or was the dyno story just a lead into, and really have nothing to do with, that little video???

    this is why supra's can dyno 1200 wheel and only pull off a 12... at 210...

    I agree....TUNING ONLY!!!! Verifying a part you installed gave you extra HP/TQ or it is a great underhood decoration.

    None the less she does pull Wade!

    I think once Spencer is tuned properly he will be a beast with his mods if he can keep from spinning

    I just need someone to tune my sh*t properly...Still thinking about the 392 project we talked about that would be best I think

    I think stroking it out to a 392 would be a killer project and very streetable/tuneable and fun at the track

    Yeah, let's just throw out the issues of traction, shifting (shift points), torque converters (if equipped). low end torque, and aerodynamics when we try to correlate dyno top end to track/street racing.

    This is a repost but I think it's relevant. Let this be a lesson to all you street racers.

    I was traveling down the highway at approximately 60 mph around rush hour when a new Ford Mustang GT pulls along side me. He down shifts and begins rev hopping his car beside mine. I do the same to show him I'm no pushover and I'm ready to race. Being rush hour we have no where to go so we both gun it and make for the emergency lanes and the street race is on!

    He races down the left and me down the right emergency lane. As we approach a clearing we both make for the opening and I'm ahead by roughly a car length. He oversteers the lane and ends up clipping my left rear bumper at roughly 120mph. As I spin out of control, my daughter nearly falls out of her car seat and the worst part I spill half my beer and damn near ruined my leather seats.

    I must say I really learned my lesson that day. Now when I street race I always make sure that my daughter is firmly locked in her car seat and I only drink straight vodka so no worries regarding staining the leather. :D
