Well my wife has gone to pickup 2 4 year old labs. Their owners were kicked out of their house and he was just going to " dig a whole andshoot them". (Cant live with that for sure as I am a dog person) There is one male and one female. They have papers (AKC) and are up to date on their shots. If anyone around NC, SC, or VA is interested please let me know. They are free of coarse - just need a good home. I understand they are outside dogs for the most part. Perhaps a nice Christmas present for someone.
Male is golden and female is black. The male in intact and has breeding certification papers from the AKC. The female is fixed. We raise Rottis (Have 4 right now) so now I will have to take care of 6 for a while. Before we let them go I have made an appointment at our Vet for Monday to have them completely checked out including heart worm tests. They are a couple of sweet puppies.....
WELL DONE SIR!!!....crap i would want one if everyone but me in my house wasnt deathly allergic to dogs lol
Thankyou for rescuing those dogs!!! Your a good man! Good thing i did not go and pick them up, cus i would have beat his ass!!!
labs are a pain in the ass but i love dogs as well and couldnt let something like that happen if i could help it. good on ya dude.
Your definately a good guy with a good heart! I'm glad you rescued them. Its a shame the owner wanted to do that. Hope the best for both dogs!
Every dog is special in its own way. For sure dogs can tell if you like them and will react based on what they sense from each person. We own a self servie dog wash and it is really amazing to see how smart dogs really are. Unlike Rottweilers (which we raise and show), labs are more real people type dogs. They are kind and well tempered.
Easy there Skippy. My wife and I have five rescued dogs ranging from #65 to #125. We seem to be unable to say no to our animal control guys. (She's a cop too.) I hate snakes.
Wow dude. I can't commend you enough for doing that. You have a huge heart, and the world needs more people like you, truly fuggin cool bro. I doubt it will happen, but I will talk to my wife and see if we can help. I will also keep my ears open. I talk with TONS of people every day at my job. It is wonderful what you did. I'll keep you posted of any progress....... Chase
yeah, thats for sure. i had two black labs, they were brothers. got into EVERYTHING. we called them heckle and jeckle because like the birds, they were a crazy pita.
that is awesome.....Labs are an awsome breed of dog and a great family dog. my daughter was bit on the cheek by our old dog and scared to death of big dogs other then my friends black lab. Those two are the best of buddies. Good luck on finding them a good home I would love to have the female black lab but just cant.....
Well we got the pups and took them to our vet. They are so under weight it is almost a crime. The female tested positive for heart worm so she is staying with the vet right now for additional testing and treatment. The male, who should be about 75 to 80 pounds only came in at 50 pounds. We have fed him twice today and he eats like he has not had a good meal in ages. He is a beautiful dog - long haired golden lab with good AKC papers. It will likely take a month or so to get him where he needs to be....
As a proud owner of a three year old yellow lab (male) it is so sad to hear that the ones you rescued were in such bad shape. If I wasn't clear across the country I would pick one of them up in a heart beat.
Thank you. We have not got the female back from the Vet yet. The heart worm is pretty bad (between stage 2 and stage 3). The Vet does not think she can be saved at this point but I told him to try anyway.
Well we found a good new home for both dogs. They guy works for ATT and his wife own a hair salon. The female will be out of the Vet on Friday - she made it through the heavy drugs that the Vet thought would take her down. She will be going home with them on Friday........
