Visually the car doesn't have 2 grills. It has 1 grill and the bumper goes across in front of it. I think you want to maintain those lines. So, if you "have" to have it exposed maybe you could get/make end caps for the intercooler that keep the lines of the "U" shaped grill (with the uprights slightly v'd). ...otherwise it looks like you had an encounter with a road hazard.

haha, that's the second time I've given my opinion

I still don't like it uncovered...A chop is one thing, but not necessarily an accurate indication of what it would look like. Why not take it off then get a pic, to see what it would really look like?

EDIT: Nevin, when I get home, I'll take a pic of my wifes cruiser with the bottom part removed. That way you can see an actual pic, not a chop.

Here you go Nevin...you will have to do some cleaning up around the edges, if it is to be permanent.

jason if you look at my orginal pic my bottom grill is one piece with the rest of the bumper and doesnt detach like yours does.

and the imprint on the intercooler show that you would get more airflow to the IC with it off.

i say get the nose clip that takes out the bumper center section so that the grill goes all the way down

I noticed that, but the Mrs hates it uncovered. I tried to leave it off, when I found out that it was broken, and she was :mad2: at me. So I had to figure out a way too put it back until I can fix it permanently. What year is your GT, I'd rather have the one piece bumper than the two piece one.

    Now that would be cool...:thumb:

ive seen that look in person there is a Non turbo PT across the street from my work that has it and im not a fan of it.

ours is an 05 and yours is the first one ive see with a detachable bottom grill. i havent seen any here in ABQ they've all been one piece.

i like the 06-07 front clip SOO much better. but the headlights are different, so i dont think it would be a direct swap.

I personally dont like the new bumper style.
i like the back and the tail lights but not the front.
and yeah the headlights are different and to make that work you would have to buy a set with the bumper.

i knw the 3.5 in IC im gonna buy is gonna fit.

theres nothing i really need to knw size wise im just wondering and still debating on wether or not to cut that thing out. and looking at the dirt imprint on your IC is making me lean that direction.
