While driving today, I was approaching a stop. As I put the car in neutral, the car kept revving at about 2500 RPMs. Everytime I shift, it stays at the same RPMs that I was at. When coming to a stop it'll stay at around 2500 or so and then after a couple of seconds drop to around 2000 and then down to around 1000. Anyone have any clue as to what could have happened?

Vacuum leak. Check all vacuum lines. Could even be a boost leak?

    Or as stated above, AIT...

u need the TPS rewire kit

the TPS plug is messed up and that will make the rpms hang at 2500

double check the wires going to it on the throttle body

I was thinking it had something to do with the throttle body. Where can I pick a a TPS rewire kit? And what would cause it to suddenly go kaput?

    Intake Air Control/Air Intake Control

The T was an error on my part. haha This is the sensor that is located somewhere mounted in your Air tube leading into the throttle body.

if u look at the wires they make a crazy 180* turn off of the plug and sometimes they get pulled from the plug but check the wires also and check the plug oh and S&P has the kit

TPS rewire kit can be bought at the dealership or you can get it at S&P like Chris stated. 99.9% sure its the TPS wiring. The 1% is it being something else.

It's just basically splice, solder and reconnect right?

Correct. The kit comes with wire, heatshrink, plug, and everything. All you do is put it together then cut, splice, solder and reconnect.

So, my alarm has been sounded REALLY weak lately. To the point of almost not being able to hear it. I was messing with the TPS harness the other day, and after I stopped I armed my vehicle and lo and behold! My alarm was sounding good again. I found that rather strange.

so its all fixed though right it could have been a ground issue that were some how connected just like if your speed senser starts to mess up your gas gauge will act funny also

If I did the TPS rewire and I'm still getting the same thing, what would be my next step? The actual TPS sensor?

I did the rewire kit. I am still having the same problem though. I hope that it is something simple like the TPS sensor.

I did the rewire and replaced the TPS sensor. Same issues. Could it possibly be a vacuum leak? If so, does anyone have a clue as to which hose it could be? Anyone have experience?

theres only really one hose and thats under the intake manny that goes to the break booster but u would have no power brakes if that was the case or it could be a intake gasket but it might seem u have a bad IAC

When you say power brakes, what exactly do you mean? No brakes at all?
