I'm sick and tired of the OEM A/C lines and I'd like to get them re-done.

Taking the truck into the dealership terrifies me like being the CEO of an automaker.

Any suggestions for local shops that do that type of work?

Get with a local hydraulics shop. They can and usually will make these kinds of lines.

    Okay. Thanks Ron.
What about de-pressurizing, refilling, and re-pressurizing the lines?

It looks like a 4th grader on acid was given a ball of yarn and told to "make a happy line" from the A/C pump to the evap unit.

I understand that the A/C system is used in a variety of different trucks, but....it's just not very clean in this (my) engine bay.

Swapping out a couple of lines would REALLY tidy things up in there, and add some access by getting that one long hardline out of the way (by the pass. headers). Doesn't matter what I touch in the engine bay, that damn hardline always seems to be interfering.

You would probably have to go to an Authorized Mechanic. I think Pep Boys can do it, but the question is, "Would YOU trust them? lol

Exactly. I'd hate for the truck to turn out like 1BAD4DR.
    :D
Those guys could screw up a pine tree air freshener install.

There's a place I just found called Evans Automotive. I'd driven by it hundreds of times, but never really noticed it. When a VCA guy and I met there a few weeks ago, I was FLOORED by what they have in their shop: Countaches (plural; about 4), Gallardos (at least 3), Murcialagos (at least 2, including the owners black one) Ferraris (old, new), uber-vintage, ultra-rare....It's like a mini-Jay Leno garage.
I might talk to them and see what's up.

Kevan, Evanes is the only place that my dad would take his Porsche when he had it.
