Every 3rd car is a Mustang at Bristol....I never had one beat the SRT8 nor the SRT10.......those guys think the Charger is a pig at 4100LBs wonder what they think of a 5200LB elephant?.....I know quite a few stang drivers had time to think on it as they watched my tail lights go up the track.....
I like that guy that claiims to "have whipped every SRT8 Charger at the track, usually by a good 1/2 second. Not only that but I went against a new Challenger SRT8 a couple of weeks ago, he ran a 14.01 twice !!! Gotta love a 4.6L @ (3500 lbs) vs. 6.1L @ (4200 lbs) LMAO" He needed this many mods just to get to 13.3: 2006 GT - AUTO Performance: C&L Racer, SLP LT Headers , X-Pipe w/ CATS 3.73 FRPP Gears, Granatelli UCA/LCAs BORLA Stingers [email protected] 1.96_60ft ******************** That mreans every Charger SRT8 he ran was doing 13.7 or slower. They must have all been stock and new drivers. Bone stock I did 13.5@107 and I know I was not getting off the line right.

the cobras are actually a lot faster than the shelbys for the money. i read from the end back....i think around pg10 when jmatt started in...hahah.
I have both a Mustang Mach I and an Srt8. The MACH 1 has the dohc cobra motor (320hp stock) and when they both were stock the SRT-8 could eat the MACH 1 alive in both the 1/8th and the 1/4. I have invested nearly 15K in the MACH 1 and she will now take the SRT-8 which is still stock. Mustang folks love to shoot their mouths off about their GTs which are not fast at all. If you run up against a GT dont sweat it just hit the gas and watch it in your rear view mirror....!!!

Video of my cam only Magnum SRT8 against a 99-04 Saleen Mustang GT with a 2.2 Kenne Bell (he was bragging about it to someone before our race with his hood up) this past Saturday at MCE. He also has gears and DRs (through that out of the window as an equalizer for them) and had a better 60' than me. Although his time looks close, I crossed the line some .4453 seconds ahead which is about a car and a half almost. I spun off the line as you can hear which would have made it even worse if I hooked. on page 15.somebody posted a video of INJECTED ENGINEERS charger running the 1/4 mile in 135mph and none of those mustang BASTARDS said anything about that.
For what they cost Mustangs are a great deal. The GT is about the only 300hp car you can get for under 30K. I own lots of mopars and mustangs. Bashing either is just not smart......My 2 cents worth
