One more week....

Well...the time is approaching...

Only one week left in hell....erm...I mean Norfolk!!

Of course, this will probably be the slowest week in my life...But at least I get to spend T-Day at some friends house about 50 miles away from here.

I get my release pardon on the 2nd...and then it's straight on till California!! I never thought I would be so excited to go back to that place....But Cali is WAAAY better then here...IMHO, that is.

If there is anybody who lives on/near I-40, feel free to point out any places to avoid stopping at for gas and stuff. Or, any places to stop at...I'm down for that too.

 

So what is Norfolk, just some kinda training stop for you?

I live 3 hours north in dc metro area... i love it compared to norfuck...

the bridge is so fucked up the hampton roads tunnel is the most engineering fuck up ive ever seen

I plan on making Memphis on day one, ABQ on day two, and San Diego by the end of day three...

That's roughly 950 miles per day.

Congrats on getting out of norfolk....my mother and fathers kin are all from virginia and i lived in Virginia beach for a while when i was a kid and i can remember norfolk sucking back then.....it seems that once you cross the bridge from VB to Norfolk it`s like your in another world

 

yeah its been about 3 1/2 years and now im starting to miss cali too. i use to stay in chula vista too

 

You aren't kidding. V Beach is a whole other world. Much nicer...but still freezing :rofl:

Before I got to Cali, I was warned to stay away from CV....But they were just refering to old town CV.....I've lived in Otay Ranch/Eastlake for the last two years. Still technically Chulajuana, but much ritzier....and ultimately more expensive....

 

haha chulajuana... i havent heard that for ever. yeah I use to live out in eastlake and overthere by the water park. well good luck. maybe i"ll see you out there if i ever go back.

 

Oh snap!! I lived in the last bit of housing before the resivoir...Momo lives out there too....Not that anyone cares about him....:grin:

I won't be living there anymore though...I'm moving to the LA area....
