thought i'd share some pictures of my dads 72 road runners. first the orange 440, it was my dads first mopar and its been all mopar since, he bought it in 73 as a left over that didn't sell. its # matching, original paint. the interier has bee changed it has ventage 70's black shag carpet, and the seats been re-apolstered in cloth. the 440 has a cam and headers. it has the landau half vinal roof, and a custom front air dam made to look like an old petty car. notice the cool john deere mower deck attachment and the misplaced 340 air cleaner lid. the car has been in storage since 83 when my dad parked it in because parts were getting hard to find for it and he didn't want to take any chances of it being in an accident and no parts to re pair it. so he found another 72 this one a rough brown 340 car. this one has came along way from being bought as a spare parts car, a year after he bought it he relized it wasn't it that bad of shape so the motor was pulled re-built. bored .030 over, a big cam, 11:1 pistons. the interier has a 2 tone theme the seats and carpet are now black and everything is tan. the exterier is still rough, the money's in the motor, but it looks good in pictures. the brown one had some down time from 99-06 earlier this year it came out of the garage and got a new exhaust system but on that one trip both head gaskets blew from dry rot. we've replaced them and got he back together just in time for winter so next year she'll be back on the streets and he should have her at the mopar nats, but with a new fiber glass 6 pack hood wich will probable be the only straight panel on the car. the orange one will have to wait a few more years since its gonna need all the lines and seals replaced but it will be ready someday trust me.
sorry about the shaky pics the battery in the camera was dying when they were taken. the pics of the brown one were taken before we got the exhaust system put on, so now the car has the correct bazuka style exhaust tips, which are the coolest tips ever.
