I have moved back home to myrtle beach and there is a gas station here that sells 110 octane....right out the pump! It`s a locals secret, so not to many people know about it...they cater to all the HI-PO guys and gals. Yesterday i filled my tank with 93 octane to 3/4 full and then i topped off with 4 gallons of 110 and all i can say is WOW!!! I do not plan on doing this often, but it sure is fun! Does anyone know if i could hurt my motor by doing this a few times?

With that mixture, no worries on the motor. You will, after time, foul the O2's though.

I am surprised that 110 is being sold out of the pump. Thought it was "Illegal"? Sure it isn't 101?

Yes...it is Illegal, but if you know the right people they will let you pump it. Otherwise it has to be put in a container. It is DEFF 110 Octane at 6.99 a gallon! I really don`t want to foul my o2 sensors, so if i run this tank out and go back to strictly 93, don`t ya think i would be ok?

You are just fine. And at that mixture, it will take many many many many many fill ups to foul the O2's.

haha I have run probably 150 gal worth of 110 in my car and have yet to foul the O2's. lol Of course mine is 5 gal at a time.

Thanx 1bad4dr! You just made me feel alot better and i guess i will continue to play every once in a while. She deff runs stronger with the mixture, and with esp off she`s a blast......got sideways several times this morning running sum errands with minimal effort. I have magnaflo Hi-Flo cats, a J.B.A. cat-back and a AFE stage 2....no predator. Don`t get me wrong, she`s a beast on 93, but i can DEFF feel a diff with the mix!

There is a Shell station about 2 miles from me that sells 110...it has a sign on it that says "CONTAINS LEAD>>OFF ROAD USE ONLY".....it is illegal to pump it into a street car but they dont say anything. Anybody can pull up and buy it. $4.99 gallon.

Like Ron said it will eat your O2 sensors..and cats.....I actually have a tune for 110 on my SCT....feels like the truck picks up about 50HP going from the 93 tune to the 110...

Yea, I could tell in your writing you weren't feeling too good. haha

You MUST get the Predator man. You will pick up some good horsies with just the canned tune...

Keep an eye on the tail pipes, if you start seeing a white/grayish build up, stop using it. Also IMO, you don't need 110, as a matter of fact, it can actually hurt performance. With our compression ratio and timing we can run, it's just complete overkill. I've ran it before and I get much better performance out of unleaded 100 octane then the 110.

Now if you were get a dedicated tune, that might be a different story.

Over kill is true....that was why one of the 3 tunes I have stored on my SCT is just for 110.............why stop using it if you see a white/grayish tail pipe? I thought that was normal for leaded race fuels?

NEVER,NEVER put leaded fuel in any vehicle that has cats and o2 sensors. NEVER.
There is quite a few companys that sell unleaded race fuel. Without the proper tune and timing changes you will LOSE performance and power.
