    Hey folks.
I've got an opportunity to score some parts, but the vehicle will disappear on Monday morning.
That means I have to get this done in the next 24 hours or the deal magically disappears.

All that I need to complete the deal is a pair of (2) leaf spring bushings (front) for a 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10.

Anyone know the size of those?
    ...and, more importantly....
Anyone know where to score them on a Sunday?

    TIA

    Look in your garage. lol

The best I can come up with is a local salvage yard?

Maybe, just maybe Pep Boys or the like. I would imagine the bushings from a 1500 would be the same?

    Here's the deal:
I can have the Cal-Tracs off of Greg's crashed truck ***if*** I can put the leafs back to OEM.
The only thing I need are a pair of bushings for the front of the leaf springs.

The truck is un-driveable, and will be flat-bed'd to it's final resting place, so if the bushings actually work or not isn't a big deal.
I just need legit enough for the insurance company so they don't get all saucy with Greg if they re-inspect for some reason.

Truck gets towed on Monday morning so I have to do this on Sunday (in the snow).
    Oh the glamour.

Kevan why dont you pull the ones off of your truck. Drive the Jag up there put yours on his truck and put the cal-tracs on your truck when you get home. then tomorrow order a new set from the dealer so you have them to put the truck back to stock if you have/want to?

    Not a bad idea.
But I don't have a torch to burn the ones out of my truck.
    :D

Ok i have never done bushings so i don't know anything about them. So let me ask you this, is it something you can take out (with a torch) and then put back in or once you take them out they are ruined and you have to replace them?

if you can re-use them then:

I might know a guy who gave away some really kick ass Hockey tickets to a kid with? I don't know? a really sweet shop with more tools than you need?????? since i am guessing he is off work today ( inside joke) he may just be 1 phone call away?!

Thanks man, but I ran out of time searching.
Pressed glass at NAPA this morning and as their first customer they let me peruse "backstage" to try and find the right bushing for the job.

20 minutes and a few opened boxes later (heh heh), I found a set I thought would work.

Get up there, yank off the leaf spring end (2.5 hours in the frozen/snowing/wet crumbling parking lot)......and find out that the CalTrac one is already pressed in there!

There's no way I'm getting it out, so it stays.

The only downside: We ran out of time/light.
    I came home with Cal-Trac, singular. :)

    (don't worry...I have a plan- and a back-up plan- for the other)
