I think the Author needs to wake up and smell the coffee. He has been locked in his cave too long.

The Prowler is kool, but I do agree that it was under powered.

yeah that was on there hahahahahaha

i thought that too...but its probably cause he wanted to get some from all eras that he didnt include them all hahaha

If they had a mean supercharger on it or stuffed in a nice V8 that woulda been so mean....

what would be badass is if you took the 6.1 and stuffed it into the prowler!!!!

Leave it to Time/CNN to find a writer (Dan Neil) that can pack 10 pounds of FAIL into a 5 pound bag.

    - The Octo-Auto/Sext-Auto sucked so bad that Elf racing brought back the design 50 years later and won a buttload of races with their 6-wheel F1 car.
    - The Amphicar is one of the most coveted by collectors these days.
    - The Hotshot was so bad they're re-doing it today. You know it as the Smart car. Yep....0.7L of goodness in a teeny-tiny body.
    - The Bricklin SV1 is another highly sought-after collector car. My neighbor had a white one where I grew up. It was a fantastic ride (no problems at all).
    - The f-ing Model T? I....I....I.....I can't even come up with a slam for the article author on this. Does he even know how to spell "car"?
    - Aston-Martin Lagonda is bad f-ing ass. In any decade. Buy a nice Fluke DMM and stop being a pussy. BTW- they sell today for *WAY* over original MSRP, running or not.
    - Peel Trident was a great idea, and got awesome MPG. I'm guessing the author hasn't ever been to a city with more than 1,000,000 people. Needs a life lesson in what parking hassles really are.
    - The DeLorean? Come on. Not only iconic (thanks Spielberg), but a body with no paint made from stainless steel? F-ing brilliant. Get over here and buff my black paint.
    - That Mosler owns. Almost all Mosler vehicles own. Track cars through and through. Bad call by the author.
    - The Lamborghini LM002 is a fantastic ride. Like you'll ever get an H2 that nice....or up to 180 mph!!! The military guys should have tossed me a price for the one they blew up. Oh well. Their loss.
    - Plymouth Prowler was one of the best concepts to ever come out of Chrysler/Dodge. It was also proof that Chrysler was able to go from concept to production very quickly (quicker than any of the other US automakers, and most Euro guys too). Toss on a 150 shot of N2O and you've got a civilized weekend cruiser with great MPG and a rubber-laying beast when you want it.
    - Jaguar X-type. Comparing it to a Ford Contour is INSANELY unfair. I will offer anyone to bring over a Contour and compare it to Rachel's Jag. WORLD of difference. Yes- it's the entry-level Jag, but it *is* a Jaguar.
Is there ANY leather in the Contour? I didn't think so.
    - Chevy SSR. Very cool ride, and another example of a Big 3 automaker going from concept to production quickly. The Corvette-drivetrain versions are pretty damn quick.

Just when I thought the Rockstar Scion from SEMA was the winner of FAIL OF THE YEAR, this article comes along and is now a contender.
    Battle Royale.

Stevo- the electrical issues you're thinking of were from the late-70's XJS. None of that stuff exists now.
I will say one thing bad about Rachel's Jag: ONE FRICKIN' CUP HOLDER! In a sedan!!!

Oh, and there *are* S/C kits for the Prowler. Not too pricey either.

Ron- didn't you read the article?
The Mosler a POS put together with left-over parts from other car makers.
According to PULITZER PRIZE WINNING AUTHOR Dan Neil, It's "ugly".

    haha

Yea, he must have received the Pulitzer for being a COMPLETE DUMB ASS when it comes to cars.

Left over parts? I did not know Carbon Fiber could be confused with left over parts? hahahahahahaha

And he should also get his eyes examined cause there is NOTHING ugly about the Mosler..

And he must think that this car is beautiful? bwahahahahahaha
