Yes. It's that breather at the far right that is the "intake" for the PCV system. If that was still hooked to your air intake then there is the possibility of getting liquid oil from the valve cover "backing up" through the hose into the air intake tube. That might happen with a negative vacuum (or reverse pressure wave) due to snapping the throttle open or going to positive boost. The check valve on the can side would probably prevent that. In your case, you have disconnected from the air intake and you would just end up getting that little filter wet (or making a mess right under it) if that happened. If it was still hooked to the air intake and that happened then you would see oil in the air intake before you get to the TB.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you just replaced the cat with a down pipe and now your car is smoking your turbo seals have went up, you will not see much if and play if the seal has failed. I have seen at least a half dozen neon srt-4's here as of lately replacing the downpipe and then smoking and every one has been the turbo seal. the cat is enough of a filter to keep you from seeing the problem early on.

    Just my 2 cents,
    Mike

doesn't matter lol.. if even 10% blow seals under 100k, thats still a bunch of shit.. oem turbochargers should last a LONGGGGGG time... not <50k miles

Also depends on whats been done to your car. Raising the boost pressure, driving the car WOT very often will deplete the life of the turbo. Also not cooling it down properly if you are driving the piss out of it.
