It`s all good next phase.....there have been several members that have beat the new lexus...this is fact. The car had 30 day plates and it could have been an 03. All i was going by was what i was told. I have never owned a bmw, so i am ignorant to their spects. So anyway i guess i beat i M3 or a really shitty driver in a M5...IDK?
I think the newer M5s have two HP settings: 400 HP for regular driving and 507 HP with the M button (or something like that). I'm sure the guy would have known that. I think newer M5s are supposed to run around 12.5 in the quarter. New M3s around the same (saw one at Infineon run 13.1 with really easy start). I think if you look up "M5 SRT8 topgear" you'll find a video of a 300 SRT8 getting spanked in a drag race with a M5. You certainly could have won but it would have meant the driver sucked. There was some guy with a 605 HP Mustang Shelby Super Snake at Infineon last week and he ran in the 14s.
Umm the new m5 is 500 hp man its the same motor and weight as the m6 both run 12.3 at 115 sorry your not running those times with your mods.

I saw the same video earlier this week.... it was pretty sweet actually, but the M5 had it beat by 2 car lengths or so in the 1/4.
I agree with 8yourm5 about the spects, but he keeps badgering me like he`s 16 and tying to impress somebody. I don`t know if the car was actually a M5 or a wanna be, could have been an 03 with 400hp, could have been the real thing , but the front and rear brakes were not even 4-6 piston, so i don`t know. Maybe it was the real thing and he had it limp mode or he simply was scared of the car...idk? Like i said befor..i don`t know bmw`s spects like the back of my hand . What mods do you need to run those times? I think that he is just a tune away from being able to run those times, no? Also, as far as that goes, what does a tune really add as far as RWHP? My first CMR dyno tune (at PPP) added 15 RWHP. What is that equivalent to, a few hundreths of a second? I have similar mods as the OP (with the exception of a tune which he does not have) and I am running those kind of times.
Hey, any one can beat any one at any time on the street, that's the rule of the road I don't care HOW much hp one car has over another. One thing tho, those BMW Ms have that "M" button that gives them max power, without hitting it the car is down like 100 hp (like budoboy said above), maybe that was it. Typical BMW snob prolly didn't even know that, lol! Whatever the case, good kill!!!!!

My 60' time shown is with DRs. The best 60' I could manage with the F1's was 1.95. DRs have got me down to 1.81 so far. Still trying to figure out how to get it better.

In my 300c Srt8 i got my ass handed to me by two different M5's..... Unless that M button wasn't pressed or it was a new M3 your information is INCORRECT...... Either way you should get your facts straight before making claims cuz your facts are all over the place when u describe the car you raced
And again which M3.. they earlier versions had in line 6 while the current version has a V8 which they say puts out 414 HP... I have owned an 02 M5 and now have 330 (as my daily driver)... not many can stay up with a M5 let alone the new one.. and the BMWs are lighter than the SRT's... so if you beat one karma must have been on your side.. or a 6 cylinder model..
