Okay, I'm going to explain this the best I can. When I purchased my Diablo Predetor for my old GCSRT8 I purchased a CMR tune from a reputable shop that offers them blah blah blah. Anyway, I uploaded it to the Jeep, of course, but to make the long story short, sold the Jeep my My Asian A$$ forgot to revert/reprogram it back to stock tune!!!! The guy that bought it from me never asked for it and I myself completely forgot about it. Now I have a 300srt8(WooHoo)! the Question is, this Predetor, I assume would not work with my 300 correct?? since its VIN coded to the Jeep? Thought about calling the guy that bought my Jeep so he could reprogram it back to stock but he is all the way in CA. Is the Predetor pretty much useless now:cry:?? What else can I do other than use it as a Paperweight?? Thanks a bunch!

    Ace

You should start by posting pics of your 300!
Hey Ace, good to see you are alive. Happy late B-day if you didn't see it.

on-topic. I think you can get it reset by diablo, but I don't think they will be thrilled that there is a Jeep floating about with a tune in it from your programer.
The new owner might want to be able to adjust his custom tune. I think you should contact the new owner and sell him your programmer. Then put that toward a new one.

That was my initial taught is to call him and just ask him and let him know. But I guess if that fails and he really doesn't want it then I'm gonna be stuck with this thing with no purpose. Crap! I can't believe I did that!!! Ahhhhh!

If he won't buy it, at least give it to him. He needs it.

Did you refer him to the cherokee forum?

Yeah I would suggest doing the right thing by him and letting him know. Try selling it to him if you can if not it is pretty much useless for you to use.

Not sure that Diablo would want to revert it for you as its locked for a reason (1 tuner 1 car only - and I can't see them bending this rule). If they did do it this once or shown to give consideration to someone especially over a forum, I would suspect everyone would try something similar for not so genuine reasons

Might I suggest (for this very reason) call them directly and speak with them about it. You never know yoo luck. Whatever the outcome though (whatever they do for you) I would then keep to yourself and never disclose as curteousy to them.

nah! I promise this one doesn't!!:p:)

Anyway, do you guys know the feeling when you passed by a cop and YOU KNOW YOU weren't doing the speed limit??? You look really quick in your rearview mirror to see if he turned around or not. Well THAT FEELING is what I got when the person that bought my Jeep finally returned my call. As I mention earlier, I called him and left him a message asking him to give me a call back so I can tell him about the Predator. Well, I just got off the phone with him earlier this morning and the first few words that came out of his mouth was "THE JEEP GOT STOLEN."He said it was stolen in front of his driveway on Sept 15th. But it gets better. The San Diego PD found the Jeep abandoned on the side of the highway vandalized, stripped, and BURNED to a crisp. The old man sounds so depressed and Hell I am too because "SHE" was once MY Baby and I can't believe that this thing happened. He told me he is still working out he details with his insurance company and he would keep in touch with me as soon as he finds out what the insurance will do. Basically the Jeep is Totalled. Now I'm def screwed. I'm stuck with this Paper Weight you call a "Predator"

My old baby, my 91 LX 5.0 that I had done all up of course, sold it to my buddy for $8500.00, a year and a half later, he sells it for $1500.00 for drugs, then it got stolen, stripped, and burned. I feel your pain Ace, it's sad isn't it?

Yeah, this is a tough situation.

Best bet would be to restore the tune to the Jeep or sell it to him since it is locked to his car, as I will not be able to unlock it.

So, it's pretty much a paperweight because I'm sure that crispy Jeep computer won't be revived...bummer!

I KNOW that Mike and his staff provides World Class Customer Service (Vas really hung in there with me during a crisis & Mike was there answer his questions) but this is just a bit beyond what they can do.
