Well guys and gals, I finally got my heads, cam, intake and Kooks LT's installed last weekend and DynoSteve tuned it late last night at HHP. I'm very happy with how it turned out and am now enjoying the new found power. The only thing I think I need shortly is going to be half-shafts. My car is spinning so much harder when I nail-it that I'm actually getting some rear-wheel hop at times. Is there anything suspension wise to eliminate the wheel-hop or should I just say F**ck it and let a half-shaft snap. RDP is supposed to be realeasing their 600HP half-shafts soon I was told so lets prey for them.

    Awesome...

Some guys get wheel hop and others (myself included) never have. Not sure what the fix is.

    Congrats on the Mods bro...

Thanks everyone on the props. I thought that with the IRS in the back that our cars wouldn't get any wheel-hop...I guess not. It doesn't do it all the time, but if the street is real cold and I nail-it and get alot of wheel-spin, that's when I get the wheel hop at times. Anyone have any ideas on this issue?

NIce package...any dyno numbers during the tune?

Still running stock sways?? A stiffer/beafier rear bar will help that hop.
A set of Hotchkis Sways may be all you need.

Ya, it makes me nervous when she hops in the back that's for sure! I want to get half-shafts, but not yet. My wife still pissed at me for spending the dough on the heads, cam, etc. Gotta lay low for awhile.

Both times I had DynoSteve tune my car was at HHP's shop. Unfortuneately they don't have a dyno there so I don't have any numbers. Suspension wise, everythings stock on the car. I forgot about the sways...I'll have to look into those if I keep having the wheel-hop issue. Thanks.

I'll have to get a vid of it idling, but I don't like my Bassani exhaust and how it makes my cam sound. Damn...I should've bought the Corsa when I had the chance!!! The Bassani is really droning badly at around 1500rpms now that I have the Kooks LT's on and is drowning out some of the lope of my cam.
I have run a couple of people since the install. One was a C6 that I was behind(before DynoSteve's tune). He took off from the light pretty good so I stayed with him and got into the right lane and when I did that we both hit it. I was in 2nd gear at this point and pulled about a car on him through 2nd and then we both let off. Not really a race, but fun anyways. The 2nd run I had was tonight with a TB SS with unknown mods. Ran him a few times off the line and at about 55MPH...smoked him badly.

I had wheel hop when I broke my second half shaft. Either uneven track or losing traction and gaining it. Maybe alittle water on the track from FWD or AWD cars. Get the halfshafts ASAP.

Thanks, Scotty. Your right about me not being done with the car, but man is my wife pissed at me right now!!!!!!!!!!! I've gotta hang real low with the car for a very long time before I approach her with anything else...I'm walkin' on thin ground right now! If I break a half-shaft then that won't count since I'd have to fix it right?
