Sick, Kustom, SRT8 wheels inside - with pics (of course)

So there once was a wheel at SEMA…a one off show piece at the US Wheel booth, and in red no less. My buddy Ralph (MOL) owns a bagged Inferno Red Magnum SRT8 and has a soft spot in his big heart for anything red.

He approached US Wheel at SEMA and said, “I’ll take it.”
“Take what?”
“Four of those. (Pointing to the red show wheel)”
“But sir, we don’t make those. That was just finished 2 days ago. We only have one. Its just for the show.”
“Not anymore its not.”
“I want 4, a staggered set-up. 22x9 in the front, 22x10 in the back. I’ll call you about the paint match.”

The sales guy rolled his eyes and reluctantly gave Ralph a card. Ralph promptly called him the following Monday and eventually got in touch with their custom wheel specialist. He drove up the their shop and they test fit, tested color, went over finishes and rivets and placed the order. A few weeks later, these babies were born.

Finally, here are, in my opinion, the best Magnum wheels on the planet. One-offs from US Wheel, 3-D ghost flames ground into the billet aluminum centers and then red candy powder coated, never to be made again.:mouth:

Now I want my rims done like that with the GHOST FLAMES to match my covers and CAI!!!!!!

Those rims are beautful. If it was my ride I'd have to do black powder coat or powdercoat and chrome, but dayumm. Niice job!

 

What's awesome is that the flames aren't painted, they're ground into the billet under the candy powder coat. So they shimmer and "move" when the light hits them because they're 3D.

NO, THIS CAR IS MY DAILY DRIVER. I HAVE HAD IT FOR 1 YEAR AS OF YESTERDAY AND IT HAS 14,000 MILES ON IT. IT HAS BEEN ON BAGS SINCE APRIL.

 

Nope, that's his daily driver. It's a late 2006 and has 15k miles on it.

Ralph's wheels are even sicker in person... what's sicker than that is the number and types of things he had to suck to get the deal he got.
